Develop and optimize bioinformatics pipelines for 16S rRNA sequencing.
Process and analyze 16S rRNA sequencing data using bioinformatics tools.
Integrate microbial community analysis with broader biological insights.
Assist in the benchmarking and optimization of software tools for efficient data processing.
Document and communicate results to internal stakeholders and in team meetings.
Collaborate with senior bioinformaticians to refine workflows.
Currently pursuing a degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, or a related field.
Basic experience with NGS data analysis.
Familiarity with bioinformatics tools such as QIIME, DADA2, or similar.
Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis.
Good understanding of molecular biology, particularly microbiology.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and communicate findings clearly.
Proficiency in English
Nice to have:
Experience with workflow management tools like Nextflow or Snakemake.
Familiarity with version control (e.g., GitHub).
Previous exposure to cloud-based environments (AWS, Google Cloud).
Understanding of statistical approaches for microbial diversity analysis.
