Job description

At Dashdoc, we’re looking for a passionate and motivated Data Analyst intern or apprentice to help us leverage the vast amount of data we collect and turn it into actionable insights that empower our teams and customers. We are a rapidly growing B2B SaaS platform, used by thousands of users every day, which means we collect and manage a wealth of data. This data holds the key to understanding how our product is used, identifying areas for improvement, and providing powerful insights to drive business decisions.

In this exciting role, you’ll take ownership of creating valuable dashboards for our customers, managing key analytics tools, and conducting impactful data analyses. You’ll work closely with teams across the company, using cutting-edge tools like PostgreSQL, ClickHouse/BigQuery, Luzmo, and MixPanel, to ensure that our data becomes a driving force for innovation and customer satisfaction.

Your mission:

1. Build Dashboards for Customers:

You will create interactive and insightful dashboards, either standard or tailored to our clients’ specific needs, using our data stack (PostgreSQL, ClickHouse/BigQuery, Luzmo). Your work will directly enhance the customer experience by integrating these dashboards into our SaaS product.

2. Maintain and Improve Our Product Analytics Tracking Plan:

You will collaborate with the Product team to ensure that our tracking plan is accurate and up-to-date. This includes identifying tracking needs, defining relevant events, and ensuring that the data collected is consistent and reliable for product analytics.

3. Conduct Specific Data Analyses:

By performing ad-hoc data analyses, you will help our Product and Customer Success teams answer critical business questions. Your insights will be derived from various data sources such as PostgreSQL, Metabase, Harvestr, Hubspot, and Mixpanel.

Preferred experience

We’re searching for someone who is not just skilled in data analysis but also excited about making an impact in a dynamic and growing company. If you thrive on solving complex problems, enjoy working with data, and are eager to develop both your technical and interpersonal skills, this role is for you.

Key attributes we’re seeking:

Analytical mindset:

You have strong analytical skills and love solving problems by transforming raw data into meaningful insights. You enjoy making data accessible and actionable for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Autonomous and organized:

You can manage your time effectively, work independently, and take ownership of projects. You’re proactive, always looking for ways to improve processes, and you can prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Technically proficient:

You’re comfortable with databases and SQL, and you have experience working with data visualization tools to build effective dashboards. Familiarity with PostgreSQL, ClickHouse/BigQuery, Luzmo, and MixPanel is a plus, but a willingness to learn is even more important.

Excellent communicator:

You can clearly articulate complex data insights to cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, from engineers to customer success managers.

This is your opportunity to take ownership of our data, contribute to real business decisions, and build tools that deliver lasting value to our customers. If you’re excited to dive into data, work with a modern tech stack, and grow alongside a passionate team, we want to hear from you!

Recruitment process

1. Initial Call (Fit Check & Introduction):

We’ll start with a brief call to get to know each other better and ensure there’s a mutual fit between what you’re looking for and what we need. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask questions and learn more about the role and our company culture.

2. On-Site Interview & Live Case Study:

You’ll come to our office (or meet virtually if needed) for an in-depth interview. We’ll dive deeper into your experience, skills, and motivations. You’ll also work through a live case study relevant to the role, giving us a chance to see your problem-solving approach and giving you a taste of what the job entails.

3. Meet the Team:

Lastly, you’ll get to meet the people you’ll be working with. This step helps us both ensure a cultural fit and gives you the opportunity to see firsthand the environment, collaboration, and personalities within the team.
