Your area of work:
We are looking for a Junior Java DevOps Engineer interested in managing large-scale platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Kafka, A-MQ…) in a hybrid environment, with a strong focus on automation and DevOps practices. As a member of our team, you will contribute to delivering product changes related to application development, while ensuring the durability and security of our infrastructure.
Your responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Red Hat JBoss AMQ 7 product including entire product lifecycle and application support
- Participate in continuous upgrades of the JBoss EAP image used by Clearstream applications
- Participate on setup and maintenance of large scale Clearstream Kubernetes/Openshift clusters for all the different environments (from development to production) – on-premises as well as in the Cloud (Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure)
- Design/documentation/knowledge transfer on GitOps operating models for infrastructure and applications
- Design/development/deployment of automated solutions on the Kubernetes/OpenShift platform
- Support and investigation of infrastructure/security setup issues in all environments (dev/test/prod)
Your profile:
- You have successfully completed your university degree in computer science or have relevant work experience related to IT container technology
- Minimum 2y of work experience in IT development or IT system administration
- Linux/ Bash scripting, Basic Network background, SSL/TLS certificate management
- At least one Cloud provider (Azure, GCP) background
- You have knowledge / experience with at least one message broker (Kafka, AMQ, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ…)
- You are able to setup web server and application server
- You are able to develop simple Java EE application mainly to perform functional tests of message broker
- Collaboration through version control, a background in Kubernetes (Helm, ArgoCD, Tekton), development skills in Python, and experience with Maven project management are a big plus
- Independent work method, high commitment to delivery, high self-responsibility & ownership, communication and analytical capabilities
- Willingness to learn, open for new technologies and new IT trends
- Ability to work in a multi-national team in multi-disciplinary team
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
