Our Cybersecurity Team is looking for a new Data Security Officer, based in either Paris or Lille.

The Cybersecurity team is at the heart of the company, fueling the existing business model, building the new digital ecosystem, protecting the Decathlon brand and building customer trust. The team is made up of 3 core areas: Digital Risk Management, Security Architecture, and Security Operations with a network of over 80 security referents worldwide.

Your Responsibilities

The Data Security Officer is at the forefront of our cybersecurity efforts, focusing on safeguarding our data across cloud platforms and ensuring compliance with worldwide privacy laws such as EU GDPR, Brazil LGPD, China PIPL, California CCPA in the USA, Canada CPPA, etc... This role requires a deep understanding of technical security controls, including cloud security, data protection (encryption, anonymization, synthetic data, data loss prevention, etc.) in big data and cloud environments, as well as AI and GenAI threat modeling.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive data security strategy that aligns with our business objectives, addresses current and emerging threats, and manages cyber risks effectively.
• Ensure worldwide privacy and AI compliance across all operations, with a strong emphasis on GDPR and AI Act, and adapt strategies to meet new regulations as they arise.
• Lead efforts in securing data across public cloud providers, employing advanced technical measures such as data encryption, anonymization, data access management, and the use of synthetic data.
• Conduct AI and GenAI threat modeling to identify potential vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies, both functional and technical.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and digital leaders across the company to enhance our cybersecurity framework and manage cyber risks.

What You Need to be Successful

• Proven experience in data security, particularly within public cloud environments (AWS is a plus).
• Strong background in technical security controls, including cloud security, data protection, encryption, data access management, and big data security practices.
• Knowledgeable in privacy laws and compliance, specifically GDPR, with the ability to adapt to new regulations.
• Experience in AI and GenAI threat modeling and cyber risk management.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Leadership qualities with the ability to influence and convince stakeholders and digital leaders.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to craft and articulate a vision and strategy for data and AI security, including cyber risk management strategies.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in technical cloud security, and data security.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity risk management
• 5+ years of experience as security officer
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or AWS/GCP Security or Architecture certification are desirable.
