The position

Job description

Customer & Monetization oversees the product and technical aspects of acquiring new members, registration, onboarding, monetizing the free service through advertisements, and managing subscriptions. This business unit collaborates with numerous stakeholders, particularly the Marketing Performance, CRM, Brand Partnership, and Revenue teams.

Within Customer & Monetization, there are several specialized teams: Conversion, Data, Messaging (Ads + CRM), Payment, and User Growth. Comprising around 40 individuals with technical and QA expertise, this unit is crucial in driving user acquisition and revenue generation.

As the Head of Engineering, your responsibility is to lead this team effectively. This includes ensuring their commitment and successful delivery, coordinating with other product and technology teams to assist them in fulfilling their objectives, maintaining the codebase, step-by-step realization of our product vision and the achievement of our business objectives.

What you will do:

  • Lead and engage a large technical team
  • Work closely with the Head of Product and the Head of Payment
  • Inspire, drive and develop Engineering Managers
  • Ensure the technical work is following the industry standard
  • Support Engineering Managers in all aspects of their mission

Preferred experience

This role is excellent for a person with:

  • Proven experience as a Head of Engineering or similar leadership role in application development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of delivering and maintaining successful and innovative applications.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and managing high-performing engineering teams.
  • Strong interest in business (acquisition, lead, conversion, payment, churn, advertising, crm,  …)
