As an ML Ops Engineer, you will be responsible for the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of machine learning (ML) models in a production environment. You will work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and other stakeholders to implement scalable and efficient ML operational solutions, with a particular focus on leveraging AWS services. Your responsibilities include:
Model Deployment and Monitoring
Deploy machine learning models in batch and real-time environments on AWS.
Implement robust monitoring and alerting for ML models in production.
Develop model retraining strategies and manage workflow orchestration using Vertex AI.
Track experiments and manage model registry and versioning using tools like Vertex AI or MLflow.
System Design and Integration
Design and implement data ingestion and preprocessing pipelines using AWS services.
Implement ETL/ELT processes for data management.
Handle big data using tools like Pyspark and Polars.
Utilize GCP services such as Pub/Sub, Dataproc, and Dataflow for data streaming.
Work with both SQL and NoSQL databases for data storage and retrieval.
Data Preprocessing and Feature Engineering:
Handle missing data and perform feature scaling.
Apply feature selection techniques and dimensionality reduction methods.
Encode categorical data effectively.
Co-own data quality management and ensure data integrity.
Coding and Implementation:
Develop ML operational solutions using Python.
Write efficient, maintainable, and scalable code.
Work with ML libraries such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
Develop scripts for the deployment and maintenance of models on AWS.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field highly preferred.
Proven experience (1-3 years) in deploying and maintaining machine learning models in production environments.
Proficiency in Python and ML libraries such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
Strong understanding of ML algorithms and deep learning architectures.
Experience with big data tools (Pyspark/Polars) and data streaming (Dataflow).
Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and data preprocessing techniques.
Deep familiarity with model deployment and monitoring on AWS.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Fluent in English and comfortable working in an international environment.
Preferred Experience:
Proven experience with workflow orchestration tools.
Familiarity with experiment tracking and model versioning tools (MLflow).
Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
Proven experience in developing recommender systems, fraud detection systems, or similar ML applications.
Experience with AWS services and maintaining models on AWS.
