The team is primarily focused on application support activities for a large domestic retail and hub systems. As a Senior application support specialist, you will be working on a variety of platforms, Redhat Linux & Kubernetes based services, supporting several critical applications for the P&P Business. You should already have experience with container solutions including Docker, Podman or LXC, and a practical understanding of Kubernetes.
This position would suit someone with existing intermediate technical skills looking to grow into an application support role, you should be ready for a challenge and have enthusiasm for learning. You’ll also need excellent communications skills and be able to work well as part of a team.

Ready to embark on the journey? Here’s what we are looking for:
• Redhat Linux OS or Application Support experience
• Kubernetes experience in a production environment
• Monitoring & Automation tools (any) Ansible, Splunk, Zabbix, Nagios
• Working knowledge of any of the following: Docker, Podman or LXC
• Familiarity with networking concepts and firewalls

Hello, my name is Charles and I’m the head of department for P&P CTS operations in Prague. I started my career with DHL Systems back in 2000, where I took a role as a Junior Systems Administrator, working in the UK under the then newly formed global application support and operations team.

Since a move to Prague in 2004 I have been a part of DHL IT Services organization and have held several interesting positions in both technical and leadership roles. I’ve also been fortunate enough to travel during my career and have met a large and diverse population of amazing people from several ITS locations including, Germany, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Americas.

Together with strong support of multinational & diverse teams, we are working on our common ambition - service excellence, utilizing DevOps technologies and industry best practice.
