Your role at Dynatrace

The Extensions Architect works directly with several Dynatrace departments and our customers to design, develop and support extending our award-winning APM solutions. He/she represents Dynatrace as an expert in the practice of application performance management, providing customers with the means to extend the Dynatrace Platform along their digital transformation journeys. He/she learns new technologies while using existing knowledge of application integrations and visualizations.

This is an architect level position, requiring more than just product knowledge and expertise. Extensions Architects have years of experience running integration engagements, from planning the architecture, to developing the implementation and handing it over to the end customer. They are also natural problem solvers who like a variety of challenges while working in complex environments.

What will help you succeed

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on techniques and best practices for extending Dynatrace, combining product expertise with your skills and knowledge
  • Consult with customers to understand and meet, their business and technical goals
  • Develop, and support, integrations with 3rd party tools and devices to extend the
  • footprint of Dynatrace through the extension framework, custom apps and custom
  • workflow actions
  • Work with customers to provide information on how to best incorporate the Dynatrace
  • product in non-out-of-the-box supported environments
  • Participate in project scoping and integration architectural deployment design
  • Partner with the sales team as needed in presales technical sessions
  • Recommend complementary Dynatrace product features to meet customer goals
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Information
  • Systems, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years hands-on design and programming experience, preferably Python or
  • ReactJS/Typescript
  • 4+ years of consulting/development experience, preferably with APM tools
  • Able to multitask, for example a few customer engagements, Slack, emails, support
  • questions and side projects
  • Self-starter and driven to deliver projects on time
  • Comfortable with taking shortcuts to deliver value for money for internal and external
