Reporting to the Head of Architecture, the Solution Architect delivers consolidated and global view of Europ Assistance’s Information Systems and guarantees the integration and simplification of its layers. Acting as a Chief Architect, he/she is responsible for long-term, strategic IT architectural direction and a holistic definition of the Europ Assistance's technology solution frameworks.
The Solution Architect works across all IT disciplines (application, data, integration, infrastructure, security and technology), all business (processes, activities, functions, information/data) and all Geographies/entities and will drive common approaches, technology selection and maximization of reuse across the enterprise.
IT transformation vision, strategy and roadmap
· Together with the CIO, IT Board as well as business functions, contributes to mid- and long-term IT Strategy definition
· Establishes overall systems architecture vision align with Business Capability Map, and ensures it is appropriately designed, leveraged and aligned with IT and business strategy
· Actively facilitates and participates in technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction
· Aligns architectural strategy with business requirements
Standards, guidelines, policies and Governance
· Leads/facilitates the creation of governing principles to guide information, technology and solution decision making for the enterprise
· Creates Group standards, models, guiding principles and policies to help define and govern the future state architecture, business processes, information systems, data (aligned with Cybersecurity policy)
· Leads the development of the architecture based on the optimal architectural framework (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman …)
· Creates and maintains domain, program and solution architecture both at Group Level and at entity level to ensure common understanding of functional scope and architecture layers
Architecture Roadmaps and Blueprints
· Responsible for the development and maintenance of architecture blueprints and business capability map that articulate business strategy, future state business and technology architecture, architectural patterns and solutions
· Responsible for multiyear architectural roadmap, consolidating master plan and alignment with digital transformation strategic initiatives
· Develops and manages technology lifecycles, defines and designs transformational solutions, migration and retirement plans
Innovation Leadership, Technology Advisory and Advocacy
· Serves as a trusted advisor to EA leaders and business stakeholders in the development of the strategic roadmaps and investments plans
· Perform relevant technology market watch to anticipate risks and opportunities, recommends areas appropriate for study and Proof of Technology/Proof of Concept required to investigate architectural possibilities and related business benefits
· Engages with other Insurance/Assistance experts and key market players to understand the trends and participates in those activities to directly impact company’s core services, and contribute and influence to ensure company is viewed as a thought technology leader
· Develop internal architecture skills (Cloud, DevOps, App Framework, Integration, Mobility, RPA/AI, Machine Learning…)
Project and Operational Support
· Contribute to key projects, leading solution functional and technical architecture, especially as a key reviewer of the PIC (Project Investment Committee) process, organizing relevant reviews aligned with a gating process (Aegis, Idea, IFRS17, Core DRSA, NACE…) through respective Design Authority
· Closely interfaces with projects to ensure enterprise design principles, standards and methodologies applicable to each solution are scalable, adaptable, maintainable, secure, etc…
· Contributes to a reduction in IT complexity, enforcement of discipline and standardization of IT planning activities, consolidation of data and applications, and better interoperability of the systems
· Lead overall life cycle and decommissioning plan related to obsolescence and legacy management, foster the simplification and convergence of the IT landscape, as well as reduction of the technical debt
Master degree from a TOP School + Perfect command of English (in written & in spoken)
