Job description

For our company Generali CEE Holding we are looking for a new colleague for the position of CEE Business Coordinator. We are based in Prague and employ 200 people of 15 nationalities, the company language is English.

The Generali Group operates in Central-Eastern Europe through Generali CEE Holding, the parent company of subsidiaries in Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, and Slovenia for a total of 12,000 employees.

The Operations & IT function is under the responsibility of the Regional Chief Operations Officer and drives the CEE Business Units through a consistent, fast, and convergent transformation process of the operating model enabled by technology modernization and digitalization.

This function has responsibility for steering and coordinating selected regional cross-country projects, including the Core System Modernization, part of the Group Insurance in a Box (IIAB) program. For this specific project the function works closely with equivalent function in other regions and with program stakeholders in Group Insurance function, Group Operations function and Generali Operations Service Platform as well as with local project stakeholders.

This insurance core system replacement would enable new functionalities and digitalization of processes and foster products, processes, and technical synergies, and requires a strong guidance to guarantee business and technical adoption of software out of the box functionalities and convergence of the CEE countries involved as well as reuse of artifacts created in similar IIAB projects in Western Europe.

The main objectives of the Business Coordinator is to support the CEE Regional Chief Operations Officer and the Head of IIAB program in:

  • Identifying convergence opportunities and steering the coordination of the business decisions related to the Core System Modernization program launched in Hungary, Slovenia, and Croatia for the implementation of the IIAB selected system, liaising with the Western Europe entities involved in the project to ensure maximum convergence towards common functionality, processes and product features preserving local market needs
  • Coordinating effort of dedicated local, regional and Group business experts, product, and process owners, as well as internal external suppliers’ resources to create consensus around business commonalities to be translated in common functionality/capability/features and foster their broad adoption.
  • Promoting process simplification to foster adoption and increase convergence, influencing and steering business stakeholders involved in different project phases.
  • Assessing local existing processes, workflows, and procedures across insurance value chain for the area impacted by IIAB project, both for Life and for Non-Life business lines, to maximize reuse of Group IIAB patterns and assets.
  • Participating to project activities with BUs SMEs and stakeholder, influencing key project decisions.
  • Monitoring project progresses to identify opportunities for further adoption and convergence.
  • Fostering digitalization IIAB platform capabilities to simplify, improve and modernize existing processes.

What is needed in this role:

  • 15+ years of experience in product/process analysis (life and/or non-life) and optimization and/or in business roles in an insurance industry.
  • Broad experience in transformation projects, with solid business knowledge and understanding of IT project peculiarities.
  • Exposure to international projects.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Good negotiation and leadership skills.
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and proactivity.
  • Ability to manage and leverage diversity and cultural differences.
  • Ability to work independently on complex tasks, with focus on essentials.
  • Fluent English.
