Greenerwave is a French deep-tech company based in the heart of Paris. It was founded in 2015 by Geoffroy Lerosey, Researcher at CNRS, and Mathias Fink, Professor at ESPCI Paris, to promote their pioneering research into shaping electromagnetic waves using smart materials and deep physics algorithms. In 2012, they transposed the concept of spatial light modulators, widely used in optics, to the world of electromagnetic waves by introducing the concept of reconfigurable smart surfaces. Since its creation at the end of 2015, Greenerwave has been pursuing this work, initially carried out in the academic world, with the aim of commercializing products based on this concept. Its unique technology and know-how in wave control can be adapted to multiple applications: from RFID to 4D RADAR imaging, to steerable electronic antennas for SATCOM and 5G-6G.
Using intelligent reconfigurable materials based on simple electronic components and physical algorithms, Greenerwave shifts complexity from the hardware to the software. The end products consume little energy, are easy to industrialize and are highly competitive on the market, which explains the growing interest shown by major players in the industry.
The ambition of Greenerwave is to become the world leader across markets based on the use of electromagnetic waves, using intelligent reconfigurable materials. These materials, based on simple electronic architectures, are both cost-competitive and eco-friendly. Greenerwave prides itself on building solid, trust-based relationships with both its employees and external partners. The company takes great care in developing durable collaborations in order to remain at the forefront of innovation while guaranteeing a high level of customer satisfaction. Greenerwave's ambition is to double its revenue by 2023 and to have a headcount of over 100 employees by the end of 2024.
