Reporting to Najib, RFID Tech Lead, you will work on a technical feasibility study of using the LoRa protocol in our innovative UHF RFID technology for real-time inventory use cases.

Your tasks for this internship will be as follows:

• Understand the technology developed by Greenerwave based on metasurfaces,

• Conduct a state-of-the-art review of UHF RFID technologies applied to real-time inventories,

• Explore the characteristics of LoRa (energy consumption, ability to transmit data over long distances primarily),

• Identify the advantages and constraints of this solution,

• Propose an architecture to develop a hybrid RFID UHF/LoRa solution,

• Participate in the design and prototyping phases,

• Perform numerical simulations of these designs to analyze their performance,

• Set up tests and measurements to characterize the performance of your prototypes,

• Compare these performances to existing solutions.

Profile

You are pursuing a Master’s degree or an Engineering diploma specializing in electronics and/or wireless communication systems. You have a strong interest in RFID technology and innovation. Naturally curious, you enjoy testing new solutions and are seeking an internship that allows you to contribute to the development of an innovative project.

Professional skills

• Basic knowledge of radio frequency, antenna design, and electronic circuits,

• First approach to RFID solution and communication protocol (ideally LoRa),

• Familiarity with Python and/or MATLAB,

• Experience with simulation tools such as CST, Altium, or KiCad would be a plus,

• Good level of English (both oral and written).
