Job description

Haddad Brands Europe, founded 6 years ago, is specialized in the Europe-wide distribution of children's textiles under exclusive licenses (Nike, Levi's, Converse, Jordan, Polo Ralph Lauren...).

The company has experienced incredible growth since its creation, and already has over 400 employees across Europe 🌍.

We distribute our products both wholesale, with major specialist and multi-brand manufacturers, and retail, via our corners in department stores.

So if you're buying children's clothing (0-7 years for Nike and 0-16 years for Levi's Converse and Jordan), whether in a boutique or online, in France, Romania or any other European country, the product you're holding comes from us 😊 even if you're buying it in a Nike or Levi's boutique!

To support our Merchandising team, we are looking for a Buying and Planning Manager for one of our premium brands on a permanent contract in St. Denis, near the Stade de France. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute product category goals and create seasonal buy plans that tie back to wholesale financial goals
  • Consolidate demand for the total wholesale channel and partner with Production to ensure that receipt needs for wholesale channel deliveries are consistently met
  • Partner with cross functional management to drive company's strategic initiatives
  • Manage internal margin reporting and analysis
  • Partner with Merchandising to utilize the directed assortments by tier of distribution to affect the buys
  • Partner with Merchandising on line planning process to ensure SKU optimization and productivity
  • Manage seasonal post mortem analysis to drive buys of purchasing to achieve sales goals
  • Execute, develop and ensure capacity plans are met
  • Support system development to enhance planning program functionality
  • Recruit top talent, train, develop, manage and motivate team members
  • Ensure quarterly projections for replenishment styles are met
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Seasonal Account Orders – transform and streamline order files efficiently and ensure that they are accurately processed and aligned with the inventory and buy on size level.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Min. Bachelor or higher. Can be compensated by relevant work experience
  • 8 years + work experience in fashion, kids retail, or sales environment
  • Relevant merchandising capabilities
  • Experience and knowledge of retail fluency and account profitability models to understand the industry.
  • Experience and track record of success working with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives.
  • Able to influence both cross functionally and vertically within the industry and marketplace and negotiate to obtain the best results for HBE
  • Fluent in English
  • Willingness to go the extra mile when needed, understanding that global communication can be on occasions outside normal office timelines
