The position

Job description

Hermès International is seeking a full-time intern for a 6-month internship starting in September 2024, within its Retail Activities department. This internship will be based in Paris.

The intern will assist the Group's Visual Merchandising team with projects related to:

  • Coordination of projects linked to product display.
  • Coordination of training projects related to all scopes of VM (Product Display, PLV, Store Design, Artwork Décors).
  • Promotion of our Store Décor.
  • Internal communication.

Main activities :

Product Display:

  • Collaborate with the VM Guidelines & Training Manager to contribute to the writing and graphic layout of our "VM Inspiration Booklets," including product shooting, simulations, and writing recommendations.
  • Compile photos of store displays for internal reporting.

Artworks Décor:

  • Collaborate with the Artworks Project Managers to graphically layout our Artworks brochure, which includes explanatory texts about our artworks intended for our sales teams.

Training:

  • Assist in building training materials to support all aspects of VM training (Sales teams VM Induction program, VM Experts Induction program, VM Masterclass).
  • Help organize and facilitate training sessions for VM experts.

Transversal Activities Across All VM Scopes:

  • Internal communication: contribute to creating content for the VM Community (newsletters on our store openings, presentation materials on VM projects, videos, etc.).
  • Competitive benchmarking: conduct regular benchmarking on VM topics (product presentation, PLV, new technologies, etc.).
  • Support the preparation and execution of VM presentations.

Candidate profile :

  • Graduate in Visual Merchandising, Design, or Luxury Fashion Management (IFM), preferably in the 4th or 5th year of study.
  • Strong expertise in drawing software (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in French is a plus.
  • Strong product sensitivity, an eye for product display, and client-oriented
  • Strong retail culture.
  • At least one initial experience in VM project management or retail.
  • Team spirit.
  • Strong observation, analysis, and synthesis skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliability, positivity, and a sense of fun are essential.
