Joining our Markets Treasury Trading team, you will participate in the liquidity and funding management of our legal entity, in respect of the applicable regulatory and Group guidelines. What you will do:
As main responsibilities, you will analyze daily HSBC Continental Europe’s currency cash flows data, to achieve a reliable forecasted position. You will ensure the forward-looking management of currencies under your responsibility, manage central bank accounts, nostros in correspondent banks, and manages mandatory reserves in Euros. To reach your goal, you will act on the FX swaps market, the Money market, the repo market, and on the bonds market on several currencies to square the accounts and defines optimization strategies.

In this role you will:

  • Ensure an accurate and tight management of liquidity through the management of the Liquidity Coverage Ratio (‘LCR’) and of the Internal Liquidity Metric (‘ILM’)
  • Participate in the European Central Bank monetary operations on behalf of the Bank
  • Reach financial targets in respect of trading and credit limits, anti-money laundering, and other regulatory or internal rulesets applicable
  • Price and centralize internal funding for business lines, subsidiaries, and branches within HSBC Continental Europe’s perimeter
  • Be involved in the daily EURIBOR index contribution process, in respect of the EMMI code of conduct and of internal procedures
  • Be in tight relationship with ALCM and centralizes business lines’ requests on long-term funding, and requests for vanilla and structured notes appetites and pricing
  • Execute funding operations on behalf of the HSBC Bank plc. Paris Branch
  • Track Early Warning Indicators on a daily basis, to anticipate any market liquidity risk
  • Manage operational risk as a daily task and operate according to your position within HSBC three lines of defense framework to manage operational risks and internal controls
  • Ensure that you consistently apply a fair and honest service to his clients, in respect of HSBC’s culture, values, risk policy and procedures


Conditions

You should apply if you have:
  • Proven knowledge of financial and economic schemes, experience on FX and Money Markets, and understanding of finance and various traded instruments (for instance: E&D, NeuCP - CD, FX, FX Forward, IRS and OIS, FX Spot, Repo / Reverse Repo and bonds)
  • Significant knowledge of regulatory ratios (LCR, NSFR, Leverage ratio)
  • Experienced on financial IT tools (Bloomberg, Refinitiv) and MS Office
  • Advanced programming skills (VBA, Python, SQL)
  • Great communication skills in English (speaking French would be an advantage)
  • Team spirit with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • An academic background matching local market trading and sales regulatory requirements
