About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Director to oversee part of our portfolio of free, global, online training programs and lead operational teams to ensure delivery of efficient, impactful work. This role is critical in ensuring the successful delivery and continuous improvement of INCO Academy programs, which are funded by corporate donors expecting measurable outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management, team leadership, stakeholder engagement, and educational initiatives.

Your missions will include:

Leadership and Team Management

  • Lead and manage a team of Program Managers across multiple regions to achieve programmatic goals for several global training programs, ensuring that staff receive regular constructive performance feedback, prompt resolution of problems, and the time and opportunity to grow professionally.

  • Provide strategic direction, guidance, and support to ensure successful program implementation and scaling, including but not limited to managing your team’s key objectives, and tracking their progress and performance against these indicators.

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture, working with senior leadership to develop learning & development opportunities for team members.

  • Identify staffing needs for new and existing projects, and support recruitment activities in alignment with program budgets. 

Program Oversight + MEL

  • Oversee the design, launch, and scaling of global training programs for inclusive and sustainable workforce development.

  • Ensure the achievement of program targets and objectives, such as learner enrollment and outcomes.

  • Oversee the Monitoring, Evaluation, & Learning (MEL) of programs to ensure they meet established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and deliver the desired outcomes 

External Stakeholder Management

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with funders, working closely with the - senior leadership to facilitate clear communication and alignment of expectations.

  • Manage funder communications, reporting, and contract renewals.

  • Collaborate with nonprofit partners and other ecosystem stakeholders to enhance program delivery and impact.

Coordination with Internal Stakeholders

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, communications, and finance, to ensure alignment and effective program delivery.

  • Facilitate internal communication and coordination to support program needs and organizational priorities.

  • Contribute to strategic planning and organizational development initiatives.

Resource Management & Budget Oversight

  • Oversee budget planning and financial management for programs.

  • Ensure efficient allocation and utilization of resources to maximize program impact.

Growth & Business Development

  • Work together with the leadership team to identify opportunities for operational improvement and standardization, as well as implementation of transversal activities for team development

  • Identify market gaps and areas where INCO Academy could bring value to the Global ecosystem 

  • Build ecosystem relationships 

  • Assist in facilitating the ‘landing’ of new projects, i.e. the transition from proposal to implementation

Stakeholder Management and Communication

  • Act as the primary liaison between our organization, corporate donors, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment of expectations.

  • Prepare and present detailed reports on program progress, outcomes, and impact to donors and other key stakeholders.

  • Work closely with the Head of Partnerships to inform and facilitate program-focused conversations with funders and partners. 

  • Ensure efficient communication between your teams and internal support teams (communication, finance, L&D), to enable swift delivery of activities required for your programs

People: recruit, onboard and manage your teams 

  • Lead, develop, and evaluate assigned staff; ensure staff receive regular constructive performance feedback, prompt resolution of problems, and the time and opportunity to grow professionally

  • Set clear responsibilities, timelines, and objectives for all team members. Manage your team’s key objectives, and track their progress and performance against these indicators.

  • Identify recruitment and staffing needs for new and existing projects, in alignment with program budgets set by your managers. 

  • Define new roles and responsibilities for hires or internal mobility, build job descriptions 

  • Participate in interviewing incoming applicants.

  • Oversee onboarding of new team members through collaboration with team managers and HR. 

Growth: support identifying and pursuing transversal internal growth and external funding opportunities 

  • Work together with the leadership team to identify opportunities for operational improvement and standardization, as well as implementation of transversal activities for team development

  • Identify market gaps and areas where INCO Academy could bring value to the European ecosystem 

  • Build ecosystem relationships 

  • Assist in facilitating the ‘landing’ of new projects in Europe, i.e. the transition from proposal to implementation


Preferred experience

  • Minimum five years of experience in leading projects in complex ecosystem

  • Minimum four years of demonstrated experience managing teams and working cross-functionally with other teams

  • Demonstrated track record in managing corporate stakeholders and building partner relationships by delivering excellent operational results

  • Experience in leadership position: ability to motivate and inspire teams and emonstrat ability to coach and support professional growth of team members

  • Excellent problem-analysis and problem-solving skills

  • Strong ability to make confident decisions independently, based on collaborative input from teams

  • Fundamental negotiation and facilitation skills

  • Ability to anticipate, navigate and manage change

  • Strategic thinking and ability to navigate between hands-on operational approach and high level strategic approach

  • High digital collaboration literacy and ability to manage complex projects,  by providing hands on guidance via tools such as Slack, Trello, Notion, G-Suite

  • Familiarity with multicultural professional environments, experience working in multiple countries is a plus

  • Professional fluency in English is a must

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills

  • Demonstrated versatility

  • Passion for technology, sustainability, or social entrepreneurship is a strong plus
