This position is not remote-friendly and is Paris-office based.
The Business Operations team is often considered the engine of Joko’s success as it seamlessly weaves efficiency into our operations. The team leverages its technical and project management expertise to optimize processes and enhance overall efficiency, laying the foundation for the entire organization’s success. It belongs to the Operations department led by Quentin, our COO.
More concretely, the team’s responsibilities are:
Team support: Strengthen and simplify processes within teams. This includes process auditing and automation building, tool implementation, process scaling, and more.
Company organization enhancement: Ensure alignment and steering at the company level (OKRs, framework for team collaboration, etc.).
Task force: Address “special projects” that depend on the company’s context. This includes managing cross-functional projects or serving as a PMO on technical projects with the Product and Tech teams.
As a BizOps Engineer Intern, you will leverage your technical and project management skills to continuously optimize and automate processes. Your goal is to ensure Joko operates at the highest level of efficiency.
Process design and technical implementation. Razor-focused on execution and efficiency, you will be the spearing partner of one or several of our teams (Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Service, Account Management, Marketing, Finance, etc.).
Process design - You’ll gather feedback and needs from stakeholders and produce specifications accordingly. You will explore what is the best way to address these requirements (third-party SaaS or built-in house products).
Technical implementation. You’ll then be responsible for implementing these features A to Z. In case of an in-house implementation, you’ll either use no-code or low-code solutions, act as a Product Manager by writing specs and collaborating with Software Engineers, or put your own Software Engineer hat to implement the features. In the case of a third-party SaaS solution, you’ll negotiate contracts, and configure and coordinate the implementation (incl. handling the technical integration in our existing stack).
Project management. You will lead and coordinate strategic projects with multiple stakeholders (Internal or External) aimed at improving the company’s operational and financial performance.
This role will be a perfect fit if:
You want to build a unique set of skills: you are an Engineer at heart, you have a knack for process design and strategic project management and you want to grow your business acumen.
You want to build and operate your own projects with autonomy as you’ll be in full ownership of the topics you’ll handle, be they related to strategic projects or process implementation;
You want to grow your technical skills tackling both frontend and backend challenges in ambitious technical features/projects, putting on a Product Manager or a Software Engineer hat.
Education: You are in your final year at a top engineering school or have led outstanding entrepreneurial projects.
Problem solver: You have strong analytical skills, you are creative, and you love solving complex problems.
Engineer at heart: You are comfortable in a technical environment. You are always curious to understand how things work and you are able to quickly learn new programming languages, new frameworks, or new practices. Bonus (but not required) if you have data analysis or software engineering technical skills.
Communication: You have strong written and verbal communication skills, and you are able to explain something complex with simple words.
Mindset: You have an entrepreneurial mindset, you like challenges, you like getting hands-on and you want to know more about how a tech start-up company works.
Efficiency: You are fond of productivity tips and able to deliver on time on projects with many stakeholders.
Attention to details: You know that the devil is in the details, and you have a talent for spotting flaws where there are.
Languages: You are fluent in English both written and spoken, as we are expanding internationally. Mastering French is not required.
We believe that flexibility and trust are important parts of a company. Our work environment reflects this thanks to:
Flexible remote: If you live in Paris, you can work from our office or from your place with no constraints. If you live elsewhere, you can get access to a coworking space.
Work from anywhere: Do you want to travel to Italy for a month and work from there? For up to 3 months a year, you may work from most countries in the world.
On top of that, we offer many perks such as:
