GDPR: Partner with our DPO to ensure comprehensive GDPR compliance, including maintaining our personal data treatment register and privacy policy, implementing robust IT security protocols, and collaborating with the product team toward a privacy-by-design approach.
Labor law: Ensure that we establish a best-in-class legal framework for our employees: fully comply with our ‘accord d’entreprise,’ draft employment contracts and all necessary documents in accordance with labor law, and coordinate CSE management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Operations, Marketing, and Finance teams to align legal strategies with business objectives and support new initiatives.
Dispute Resolution: Oversee and manage any disputes, litigation, or regulatory investigations, minimizing risk to Joko’s reputation and operations.
We’re looking for a seasoned legal professional with a business mindset and a passion for enabling innovation. The ideal candidate will have:
Experience: At least 8+ years of experience in a legal role, ideally including in-house counsel in a fast-growing tech company or startup.
Expertise: Strong knowledge of commercial, corporate, and regulatory law, with a focus on GDPR and consumer protection in a digital context.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to build, lead, and inspire a legal team, as well as collaborate effectively across departments.
Business Acumen: A proactive, business-oriented approach to solving legal challenges, with a track record of enabling growth and innovation while managing risk.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal concepts in a clear and accessible manner to non-legal stakeholders.
Education: A law degree and qualification to practice in at least one European jurisdiction;
Languages: You are fluent in French and English, both written and spoken, as we are expanding internationally.
