The position

Job description

As the Head of Finance & Legal Operations, you will lead and optimize the company and its subsidiaries’ financial and legal functions. You will provide strategic leadership while working closely with the executive team to ensure compliance, effective financial management, and legal protection of Jump.

Working closely with the COO & CEO, reporting to the CEO, the head of finance & legal will be a member of the Executive Committee.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Management:

    • Oversee global financial management, including accounting, planning, reporting, and audits.

    • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives.

    • Manage the annual budgeting process, forecasts, and reports.

    • Analyze key financial metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.

    • Handle & optimize cash management for the HQ & its subsidiaries and oversee the creation/management of financial products.

  • Legal Operations:

    • Oversee all legal matters, including compliance, contracts, intellectual property, and litigation for the parent company and subsidiaries, which employ freelancers.

    • Ensure operational compliance with local, national, and international regulations.

    • Ensure on-going optimisation (tax, etc…)

    • Manage relationships with external law firms and regulatory authorities.

    • Identify legal risks and implement policies to mitigate them.

  • Leadership & Strategy:

    • Provide strategic recommendations to the leadership team on financial and legal matters.

    • Develop and mentor a team of finance and legal professionals.

    • Maintain a culture of compliance, ethics, and governance within the company.

    • Actively support Jump’s growth initiatives by providing informed financial and legal guidance.

    • Provide support for board meetings, fundraising operations, and potential M&A activities.


Preferred experience

  • Master’s degree in finance, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance with proven leadership and management skills.

  • Deep knowledge of accounting standards, tax laws, and legal regulations in France, UK is a plus.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and make strategic decisions quickly.

  • Fluent in English
