Job description

📌 Position Overview

As the International Accounting and Tax Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with international tax laws and accounting standards, including ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition). You will oversee the preparation of financial statements, manage tax compliance across multiple countries, and ensure the accurate reporting and analysis of our global financial performance. This role will require close collaboration with external advisors, local tax authorities, and internal teams.

📌 Key Responsibilities:

  1. International Tax Management:

    • Ensure compliance with international tax regulations, including VAT, sales tax, and withholding tax across jurisdictions.

    • Oversee tax filings, coordinate with tax advisors, and manage audits by tax authorities.

    • Develop and implement international tax strategies to optimize tax positions and mitigate risks.

  2. Group Accounting and Consolidation:

    • Oversee the consolidation of financial reports across all subsidiaries (France, Delaware, Singapore), ensuring compliance with local accounting standards.

    • Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements.

  3. Revenue Recognition (ASC 606):

    • Ensure proper revenue recognition in line with ASC 606 and manage the recognition of complex revenue streams.
  4. Cross-Border Transactions:

    • Support the accounting of intercompany transactions, transfer pricing, and foreign exchange impacts.

    • Work closely with teams to ensure proper documentation and compliance with local and international accounting standards.

  5. Risk Management and Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with local regulations and mitigate exposure to international tax risks.

    • Lead the development and enhancement of policies and processes related to global accounting and taxation.

  6. Collaboration:

    • Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and internal stakeholders.

    • Provide strategic input on financial planning and analysis related to tax implications and international expansion.


Preferred experience

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in international tax management, accounting, or a related field, in a SaaS company.

  • Experience with ASC 606 for revenue recognition.

  • Proven experience in managing cross-border accounting and tax issues.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of international tax regulations, including VAT, sales tax, and withholding tax.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

  • Collaborative and adaptable, with experience working in a multicultural and international team.

Languages

  • Fluent in English and French.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
