As a Jeune Docteur in AI Governance at Jus Mundi, you will monitor and implement of Data privacy & AI regulations, with a focus on the GDPR & the EU AI Act and other international regulations applicable. You will develop and manage strategic relationships with policymakers, civil society groups, industry players, and other key actors to influence and support the creation and implementation of data privacy & AI governance policies. You will identify and drive tactical opportunities that advance Jus Mundi’s mission through policy research, organising and participating in events, providing advisory services, and engaging in effective communication strategies.
You will contribute to policy research by drafting scientific articles to support evidence-based decision-making in AI governance and represent Jus Mundi at international conferences and events, sharing insights and contributing to global discussions on AI governance.
As a our Data & AI Governance Officer, you will:
Monitor global trends and developments in Data Privacy & AI technology governance to anticipate regulatory changes and assess potential risks or opportunities for Jus Mundi.
Create and maintain internal compliance policies and frameworks to ensure that Jus Mundi’s AI technologies and practices adhere to all relevant regulations and ethical guidelines.
Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, key actors to influence and support the creation and implementation of AI governance policies.
Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to integrate Data privacy & AI governance considerations across all areas of Jus Mundi’s operations, including product & data.
Develop and deliver training sessions and educational materials to internal teams and external stakeholders on current AI governance frameworks, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Represent Jus Mundi in advocacy initiatives, contributing to public consultations, drafting position papers, and engaging with media to influence AI policy debates at regional and international levels.
Redact scientific articles and contribute to policy research efforts to support evidence-based decision-making in AI governance.
Actively participate in and represent Jus Mundi at international conferences and events, sharing insights and contributing to discussions on AI governance.

Recent Ph.D. (Jeune Docteur) or about to submit your Ph.D in a relevant field such as law, political science, international relations, computer science, or a related discipline with a focus on AI governance or technology policy.
Demonstrated experience in policy research, analysis, or advisory roles, preferably in the context of AI, technology, or governance.
Previous experience engaging with policymakers, civil society groups, or industry stakeholders is highly desirable.
Proven ability to build and manage strategic relationships with diverse stakeholders in the Data Privacy & AI governance ecosystem.
Strong analytical skills with experience in conducting high-quality policy research and drafting scientific articles.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively advocate for policy positions and represent Jus Mundi in diverse forums.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
A broad understanding of the technical, legal, and ethical implications of AI and the ability to integrate these perspectives into policy discussions.
Collaborative and flexible, with the ability to work effectively within a diverse team.
