Job description

KEY FUNCTION

The Fabric and capacity planner is the leader and key contact for the fabric and garment production capacity of his/her market.  In relation with KIABI strategy, he/she provides visibility and guidance on the choice of placement and buying methods, linked with the sourcing and stock strategy, targeting to develop continuous business relationships and company results.

He/she coordinates with other team members to deliver the best product with the best quality at the best price. As a team player, he/she shares best practices within and across cells and business partners.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

  • Coordinate the different stakeholders around Fabric and capacity planning (such as Inbound planner in France, Global Procurement Manager in HK, Merchandisers in our different sourcing offices, garment suppliers) and impulse the rhythm all along the year
  • Define the global capacity needs (in pieces and minutes thanks to SMV data) accordingly with sourcing and procurement strategy
  • Co build production forecasts and capacity allocations with Inbound planning, procurement teams and merchandising team to define the Global Procurement Strategy
  • Confirm the forecast and allocation (initial and revised) to all teams
  • Confirm capacity reservation to garment suppliers (reservation based on forecast or reservation of production lines).
  • Prepare the buying season and propose methods to Procurement and collection team such as Fabric Booking, Garment Booking, VMI and other postponement strategy methodology to improve supply performance (Insure continuous production, reduction of peak, quick replenishment)
  • Animate proactively the production forecasts and capacity allocations by staying aware of the evolution of needs and anticipating resources at production side and inform counterparts accordingly
  • Guarantee the right level of commitment with vendor and fabric mills for the company and report regularly to supply planning
  • Define and revise monthly production forecast by simulating global production plan to execute the Global procurement strategy.
  • Follow execution of the procurement strategy by coordinating the team members on production plan to make sure we fulfil our commitment with vendors
  • Propose allocation to country and/or vendors according to available capacity and optimization of costs to answer to collection and IP requirements in terms of product and production leadtime
  • Manage the production risks and optimise the resources with proposal of double sourcing

Preferred experience

  • Higher Diploma in Textile / University graduate
  • Fluent in English language, oral and written
