What’s the job? About the role As a Lead Software Engineer within our frontend domain, you will play a pivotal role as both an expert individual contributor and a technical multiplier. You will be responsible for guiding your squad through complex and often ambiguous challenges, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions that align with long-term business goals.
You will provide technical leadership, coach and mentor engineers, and drive engineering excellence across the team. Working closely with Engineering Leads, Principal Engineers and Architects, you’ll shape technical direction, influence strategic decisions, and foster a strong culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. With a passion for frontend technologies and a holistic mindset, you will help elevate both the technical capabilities and the impact of your squad.
Responsibilities - Provide day-to-day technical guidance, ensuring the team is aligned on priorities, technical approaches, and best practices to meet business goals.
- Foster a culture of growth by mentoring engineers, facilitating skill development, and offering constructive feedback to support their career progression.
- Take ownership of complex frontend solutions, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and performant while meeting both short- and long-term objectives.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including backend engineers, product managers, and designers, to define and execute on product vision.
- Contribute to shaping the technical direction of frontend architecture, influencing product and technical roadmaps, and supporting the team in navigating evolving business needs.
- Champion high standards of code quality, testing, and deployment processes to ensure reliability and consistency across frontend systems.
- Identify opportunities for process and technical improvements, proactively leading efforts to enhance the development lifecycle, productivity, and product quality.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and ensuring technical needs and progress are clearly communicated.
What you’ll bring Skills and Experience - Proven ability to design and deliver robust, high-quality solutions across multiple programming languages and frameworks.
- Deep expertise in frontend technologies, including TypeScript, HTML, CSS.
- Extensive experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React.js and Remix.
- Strong knowledge of web architecture, DNS, and web server technologies.
- Hands-on experience working with RESTful APIs, JSON, and GraphQL.
- Knowledge of frontend testing tools and frameworks, including Playwright and Jest.
- Skilled in building and maintaining scalable CI/CD pipelines.
- Well-versed in accessibility standards (WCAG) and user experience best practices.
- Demonstrates a strong grasp of software and quality engineering principles and non-functional requirements.
- Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and the ability to lead the implementation of complex solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence technical discussions and strategic decisions.
- Comfortable operating with autonomy and accountability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
