Job description

Responsibilities

  • Build secure cloud applications using available cloud controls/products, third party products, and/or custom-developed systems
  • Secure Docker containers and Kubernetes infrastructure
  • Proactively seek security gaps within current and projected business direction and orchestrate solutions to address those gaps
  • Design and contribute heavily to network security architecture including policies for firewalls, WAFs, network segmentation, VLANs, VPNs, and DoS/DDoS mitigation
  • Identify and articulate security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements
  • Review and approve security architecture for new projects or changes to existing systems
  • Conduct and facilitate security reviews, threat modelling including deep design reviews throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of common information security standards such as: ISO 27001/27002, NIST CSF, CSA and CIS Controls.
  • Continually review cloud and infrastructure environment for vulnerabilities and draft remediation plans.

    • Requirements

  • At least 3 years’ experience; preferably in securing products and cloud platforms
  • Experience with Public Cloud technologies (AWS and Azure preferred).
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-code (IaC) security scanning tools
  • Experience with container security tools
  • Working knowledge of firewalls, WAFs, network segmentation, VLANs, VPNs, and DoS/DDoS mitigation
  • Outstanding communication skills, especially with diverse audiences; excellent written skills
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Relevant certification such as CISSP, AWS/Azure Certified Security or equivalent
