We are seeking an enthusiastic Test Development Engineer Intern to join our "Performance Team". This team is responsible for 1/ conducting end-to-end performance tests, 2/ providing performance test tools to the development teams and 3/ assisting them in doing performance testing.

The team is constantly seeking to use state-of-the-art technologies for data generation, test automation and result reporting. Today, we are looking into moving from our legacy, Jenkins-based architecture to a full Kubernetes-based architecture (some system-under-test are already Kubernetes platforms).

The high-level objective of this internship is, as a part of this evolution, to refactor our test injection tools and Jenkins pipelines to, respectively, Kubernetes pods and Argo workflows.

 

Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with performance team and DevOps team to review the considered architecture.
-       Port a current test injection harness from Jenkins agents to Kubernetes pods (proof-of-concept)
-       Port a current test Jenkins pipeline to Argo workflow (proof-of-concept)
-       Prepare the migration of all existing Jenkins injection agents and test pipelines . Document and share procedures.
-       Integrate Argo workflows to current deployment and test tasks.
-       Elaborate how current reporting capabilities can be migrated to the new infrastructure.

Prerequisites:

* Currently enrolled in a master’s program at an Engineering School or University (Computer Science/Network Engineering, Engineering, or Mathematics)
-       Final year of engineering school or Master II of university
-       Strong analytical skills
-       Ability to work in teams.
-       Knowledge of Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker, GitOps, ArgoCd and Argo workflows
