About NW

Since 2007, the group has been deploying innovative solutions to increase the share of low-carbon energies in the French electricity mix, support the stability of the electricity network and contributing to the development of electric mobility.

As the first French energy transition unicorn, NW is the leader in France in electricity storage with its JBox® solution and the precursor of high-power charging terminals, its IECharge®. The company is also expanding internationally, particularly in Europe and the United States. In February 2023, NW joined the FrenchTech Next40.

Today, NW is expanding its business internationally, with the first projects arriving in the Nordics in the beginning of 2024. NW aims to operate and to aggregate its own storage assets. The target is to be independent as a balancing service provider and balance responsible parties to the development of these businesses.

What you will do

Under the supervision of the Head of Market Operations, you will be responsible for:

  • Participate in the elaboration of agreements and certifications to aggregate NW batteries with the different relevant market players in the Nordics (BSP)
  • Participate in the elaboration of agreements and certifications to supply NW batteries with the different relevant market players in the Nordics (BRP)
  • Operate the storage assets on the different markets in the Nordics
  • Participate in the elaboration of the energy supply offer of NW in the Nordics
  • Managing the evolution of the implemented IT system in order to optimize asset management in the Nordics. Acting as a bridge with the IT development team by being their privileged interlocutor on the evolution of the IT tools
  • Following the regulatory evolutions related to the valorization of storage in the Nordics and adapting our internal valorization tools to these evolutions
  • Ensure relations with the different relevant market players (grid operators, retailers service providers, etc.)
  • Monitoring and controlling the revenues generated by the NW batteries in the Nordics

Desired skills

  • Engineering Master, specialization in the energy markets
  • You have a good knowledge of the electricity and energy market sectors, especially in the Nordics
  • You are comfortable with relaying needs to an IT developer team
  • You are interested in the different components of a project (technical, economic, regulatory)
  • You have a good learning capacity and are comfortable dealing with new subjects 
  • You are rigorous, proactive and independent
  • You are fluent in English, Finnish, speaking Swedish professionally. 
  • Speaking French will be highly appreciated but is not mandatory for the position
