SUMMARY
The Logistics Coordinator I is responsible for coordinating follow-up and updating of deliverables, such as revised due dates, expedite dates, responding to past due sales order date and LTA/Min-Max program updates to the customer or customer service representative. The Logistics Coordinator I will perform analysis of critical items. The LCCI is the point of contact between the customer and the site for all logistics matters.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitors and documents daily booking details in order to detect and correct any anomalies on customers’ orders that would lead to issues or potential future performance degradation of the site.
• Inform assigned customer directly of any anomalies (except for pricing) and negotiate with the customer new terms such as lead times. In the case of pricing issues; the logistic coordinator will inform the sales representative who will go back to the customer to get the pricing fixed.
• Coordinates all activities associated with backlog clean up including, but not limited to calling customers to cancel or reschedule partials or full orders. These activities must be performed daily.
• Validate or re-allocate parts in stock to customer orders in order to optimize customer service / relationship and the performance of the site in terms of On Time Delivery and past due aging.
• Review and print pack slips to allow for the best on time delivery to be realized
• Review and adjust distribution orders to optimize customer service level and shipping costs with available inventory
• Record all “helping or accommodating” activities performed for and per the customer’s requests.
• Establish, sustain and communicate the on time delivery and past due aging KPI: global, per factory and per customer.
• Provide delivery quotes to customers per information provided by Master Scheduler.
• Establish and maintain priorities of manufacturing orders.
• Acting as the single point of contact for customer inquiries and questions that include, but are not limited to, deliveries, schedules, and production status
• Follow up on late deliveries and communicate this information back to the customer.
• Verify incoming customer orders are reviewed in the sales order entry system and modify as needed through the assistance of sales.
• Updates customer shipping preferences in support of the business.
• Follows established policies standards , practices, and procedures for the LISI Aerospace Logistics group
• Makes decisions based on best practices, when necessary will elevate issues to upper management.
• Responsible for complying with the rules and regulations set forth by Federal, Local, and State government, LISI Aerospace, and HSE Procedures.
• Responsible for attending all training provided and for adhering to all HSE procedures, policies, and plans, conforming to reporting requirements and safe operating procedures at all times.
• Required to bring any known or suspected nonconformance for all company procedures or legal requirements to management’s attention immediately.
• Seeks opportunities to continuously improve our ISO 14001standards and HSE performance by establishing objectives and targets, measuring progress, and reporting our results.
• Performs a variety of other related duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education and/or Experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Knowledge of Aircraft Fastener manufacturing processes and principles preferred.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the logistic/planning field.
• Minimum 0-3 years related Logistics, Marketing or Customer Service experience required and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in fastener manufacturing desired
Language Skills
Ability to write reports, business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and follow instructions in written and basic diagram formats. Ability to multi-task a variety of problem solving techniques and deal with several internal and external situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Access, and ERP applications preferred.
