PRIMARY SUMMARY:

Under limited supervision, is responsible for creating master schedule by planning the anticipated customer demands in partnership with Sales and Marketing and balance Plant capacities with these requirements to ensure exceptional delivery performance. Utilizes ERP system to plan, procure, allocate, and distribute materials for assigned product categories to ensure total customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost, while maintaining acceptable inventory levels.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Utilizes LEAP (LISI Excellence Achievement Program) tools and other continuous improvement tools and methods to provide timely response and support within their assigned UAP to ensure timely response to all UAP matters.
• Participates in PSM2 meetings and collaborates with other team members within their assigned UAP to ensure goals and objectives are met timely.
• Plans, prepares, issues, and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements.
• Utilizes ERP system to access production schedules, work orders, material quantities, and other relevant information. Manages action messages and diligently takes appropriate actions.
• Proactively monitors production schedules and takes necessary action(s) to prevent delays as a result of; design changes, labor or material shortages, backlog, or other interruptions that may impact delivery dates.
• Confers with department supervisors and other personnel to assess progress of production and discuss needed changes.
• Confers with site personnel, vendors, and customers to coordinate production and shipping activities, and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays.
• Compiles and records production data including; volumes produced, consumption of raw materials, material inventory, and quality assurance measures.
• Processes requisition, receives quotes, and places purchase order necessary to meet production demand by monitoring and conducting follow-ups on purchase orders in order to ensure timely delivery.
• Analyzes usage trends and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands.
• Provides status reports for production orders and expected ship dates to customer service and at times directly to customers.
• Oversees the work of team members for LEAP and other specials projects.
• Continually exemplifies and is an advocate of LISI Aerospace’s Vision, Mission, and Guiding Principles as stated in LISI Aerospace’s Team Member Handbook.
• Champions and participates in the LEAP (LISI Excellence Achievement Program) in support of the Company’s commitment to continuous improvement in the areas of; HSE, Quality, and Production.
• Responsible for complying with the rules and regulations set forth by Federal, Local, and State government, LISI Aerospace, and HSE Procedures.
• Other duties may be assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) and two years of related experience preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.

• Experienced in Planning and master scheduling, production control, and knowledge of continuous improvement tools.

• Experience with ERP system, preferably M3.
• APICS – CPIM certification highly preferred

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems; ERP/MRP systems, Database systems; Internet software; Microsoft Office; Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Language Skills
Must have excellent communication skills (oral and written) and organizational skills. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
