PRIMARY SUMMARY:
Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Sorts, identifies, and counts stock, verifying against shipping list and control records.
• Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy and stock control as required.
• Receives and counts incoming parts/material, checks for certification and required paperwork.
• Examines stock and distributes materials in inventory as required.
• Prepares and maintains records of merchandise to be shipped.
• Requisition and stores materials to maintain stock.
• Follows government specifications in packaging and routing.
• Pulls and issues components for assembly routers.
• Maintains accurate records of blank stock and components.
• Stock blank parts in preparation for future routers.
• Stock customer returns, verifying count and part number.
• Takes physical inventory of finished goods. Issues parts for finished goods assembly routers. Checks correctness of inventory records.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Stockroom/warehouse experience is preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
