The Science team is at the heart of Maki People’s product content creation and comprises experts devoted to developing psychometric tests to high standards.

You will be joining our Project ManagerMathilde, our Head of ScienceAiden and our COOPaul-Louis and have the chance to collaborate with everyone at Maki.

Most of their efforts are currently aimed at creating the best candidate assessment experience, providing high-quality psychometric assessments, improving the test library, designing custom activities for clients, and supporting customer onboarding and adoption of Maki.

As Maki is gearing up for ever more exciting times and gathering more and more users, the Science team will focus on deep-diving into their experience to understand what it takes to fuel their satisfaction and foster adoption.

💪 About your mission

As a business psychologist intern, you will:

  • Engineer and create innovative psychometric tests.

  • Explore and distil insights from key scientific literature in the development of assessment.

  • Contribute to the creation of cutting-edge psychometric tools.

  • Update our vast test libraries and detailed manuals.

  • Perform critical analytics on pertinent psychometric data.

  • Simplify complex data, making it easily accessible across Maki.

You will work closely with the Head of Science (Aiden Loe) to create innovative new tests that will impact the recruitment sector.

Eventually, as one of the early employees of MakiPeople, you’ll be able to shape the future of the team. We share as much ownership of the way we work and of the product itself as we can, as we’re convinced our success is 99% due to our team.

You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.

Our mission 🔭

We are building a data-driven talent paradigm.

We are on a mission to empower every company to hire bespoke talents, grow them continuously, and build happier, more diverse teams. The first step of our vision is to offer standardised pre-hire assessment tests to identify the best candidates and accelerate hiring decisions, bias-free.

Our values 🎨

We are still very young and our culture is evolving as we grow together. Nonetheless, below are values we identify ourselves with:

  • Power: People have the power, the freedom and the responsibility to make fast decisions

  • Ambition: We break the existing limits and always increase our standards.

  • Vulnerability: We have the courage to be vulnerable; it’s the root of trust, authentic leadership and meaningful connection for us.

  • Enthusiasm: We enjoy every single day, whether good or bad, as we believe enthusiasm is contagious.

  • Unity: We believe the whole is greater than the sum of its part.

💫 Our process together

We want to offer the best candidate experience possible by letting everyone apply, ensuring that the process lasts ~3 weeks from the moment you get invited to the first step.

We provide feedback at each round to every candidate, either through our product or with a call from the hiring manager.

  • Step 1: A short assessment on Maki (~20mins) 📂

This is the occasion for you to discover our product more in-depth and to demonstrate your fit, skills & motivation (~35mins)

  • Step 2: A deeper exploration of who you are (2x 45mins) 👀

If we believe you may be a good match, we’ll arrange two 45mins structured conversations with two members of the team to cover

    • Your experience

    • Other important skills we would have not covered in the assessment

    • Your questions

  • Step 3: Meeting with our co-founders

We will also ensure you get a chance to meet with at least one of the three co-founders to ask them all your questions, including the tough ones.

  • Whenever: 2-3 informal meetups

Throughout the whole process, we will additionally let you schedule a couple of 30-minute informal meetings with a few employees. These meetings (online or IRL) will be a chance for you to familiarise yourself with our team, and our motivations and ask questions!

  • Step 5: Your offer 💌

If we have a match, our founders will send an offer asap.

  • Step 6: Your onboarding 🧑‍🚀

We will help you through the contract details and ensure you have everything to make an impact. Come and celebrate your offer with the team 🤟
