Job Requirements

The role is responsible for managing and fostering positive relationships between the organization and its Associates, represented through work councils, unions. This role ensures compliance with labor laws, resolves Associate relations issues, and develops policies that support the organization's strategic goals. Primary market is France with potential involvement in other Northern European countries projects (Ex: Belgium, Netherlands).

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Work Council and Union Management (France):
  • Act as the primary liaison between the company and work councils and unions.
  • Organize and lead regular meetings with Associates representatives.
  • Facilitate negotiations and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with French labor laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of Associate relations cases and outcomes, Document meetings and agreements with work councils and unions.
  • Associate Relations (France):
  • Handle Associate relations cases, including disputes, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
  • Provide guidance and support to management on Associates relations issues.
  • Conduct investigations and recommend resolutions for Associates complaints and conflicts.
  • Legal Compliance (France):
  • Stay updated on changes in labor laws and regulations.
  • Advise management on legal requirements and best practices in HR and Associate relations.
  • Ensure all HR practices and policies comply with current legislation.
  • Policy Management (Northern Europe):
  • Develop, implement, and manage P&O/HR policies and procedures across Northern Europe Cluster.
  • Ensure policies are compliant with legal requirements and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Communicate policies to Associates and provide training as necessary.
  • Monitor and review policies regularly to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
  • Harmonize the policies across legal entities.
  • Administrative Support (Northern Europe):
  • Periodic Data analytics support
  • Manage Associates cycle administration, including monthly payroll support in partnership with finance for some countries. 
  • Prepare reports for senior management on Associate relations metrics and trends.
Work Experience

Qualifications:

  • Sufficient experience in human resources, with a focus on employee relations and labor law.
  • Proven track record in managing relationships with work councils and unions.
  • Experience in conflict resolution and handling complex employee relations issues.
  • Familiarity with French labor laws and regulatory requirements.

Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of French labor laws and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluent in French and English
