Job Description:
The Senior Demand Planner manages long and short term forecasts at the item/customer level. The planner will use a variety of data sources including consumption trends, sales promotional data, marketing new product plans, and Futurmaster statistical models to create a demand signal to drive supply chain and S&OP. The monthly goal is to deliver an accurate and cross-functionally aligned rolling demand plan. A key responsibility of the Demand Planner is to develop, document, update and challenge the assumptions supporting the demand plan.
What are we looking for?
- Master’s degree in Business, Engineering or Supply Chain
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Demand Planning/Forecasting ideally within FMCG
- Familiar with S&OP processes
- Fluent French & English
- Experience in FuturMaster or similar demand planning software
- Demonstrated strong quantitative and analytical experience using Excel, PowerBI and other computer applicative
- Demonstrated experience of delivering effective presentation using qualitative and quantitative data to influence leadership behaviors and decisions
What will be your key responsibilities?
Co-build business plan with Sales & Marketing teams
- Interact with sales and marketing to understand demand forecast drivers
- Cross-functional coordination to reconcile significant variances and review forecast models to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions in the demand forecast.
- Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecast. Challenge inputs when needed
- Align product launches and promotions with sales & marketing teams
- Develop scenarios in collaboration with demand functions to simulate several assumptions in order to propose different variants of the plan for approval
- Update demand planning tool to match DMR discussions & forecasts signed off
- Capture any risks or opportunities related to forecasts
- Measure and analyze Demand Planning KPIs: SFA and Bias to understand gaps and propose corrective actions
Own & Maintain Demand planning tools (FuturMaster, Excel, Power BI)
- Define and maintain FuturMaster master data
- Cleanse historical sales peaks & drops reflect future sales trends using statistical approach
- Capture demand drivers, develop statistical forecast model and evaluate forecast results
- Anticipate potential medium-term events and manage required changes to systems parameters (e.g. Route to Market change, regulatory change, portfolio evolution…)
- Ensure the 24 months horizon is maintained with the latest available assumptions
- Be Planning tool key user
- Ensure continuous improvement of the process and KPIs
Secure service level with supply teams
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues that impact supply planning
- Follow out of stock and proactively address risks when demand and supply imbalances
- Collaborate with logistic & factories to provide visibility on demand activities
