The company is starting its robot commercialization phase in Europe and the USA, and expect to hire around 40 new employees ! As a fast-growing company, Moon Surgical is looking for a Head People to help building its HR strategy, aligned with business goals.
This role requires a strategic thinker (30%) with a hands-on approach (70%) to managing all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, retention and growth, performance management, and compliance.
The ideal candidate will have a very good knowledge of multicultural environment : team members are based in both the US and France, with 11 nationalities 🌎
This is a newly created position, with legal aspects (payroll, contracts etc.) being managed by the finance team. The position reports to the CFO and will work closely with the VP Finance & Corporate Ops, as well as all managers, and the CEO.
Day do day
Recruitment : take ownership of the 2025 recruitment plan including 40 positions in France and the US, particularly for Sales and Operations profiles
Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent : recruitment agency, jobboards, networking and event.
Support the management team in executing their recruitment plans. Oversee the hiring process, including recruiter selection, job postings, interview coordination, and onboarding. Prepare offers and employment agreements.
Build and promote Moon Surgical employer brand both externally and internally.
Create and update an hiring dashboard to analyse and ensure recruitment efficiency.
Talent Performance & Development : step up the basics in place to go further
Drive and execute the employee performance and culture strategy, ensuring talent density and performance objectives are met (bi-annual reviews, performance appraisal, etc.).
Design all talent development and retention strategies, including career path, promotions, and training.
Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
Act as a strategic business partner to train, guide, and advise managers and teams on all People-related topics.
People Experience & Compliance : stay up to date and attractive on HR issues
Create and implement HR policies and procedures that comply with legal regulations (FR/US) and support the company’s mission and values (benefits, PTO, etc.).
Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices.
Oversee and benchmark compensation structures and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and employee satisfaction.
Manage payroll processes in France and the US with the VP Finance & Corporation Ops (only variables, bonuses, benefits).
Build and maintain a great employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle (onboarding, operations, offboarding).

Qualifications
Extensive experience in US and France is needed. We are looking for someone with experience working in an American context, it’s a must-have.
5 to 10 years experience as an HR Manager, Head-of or Director, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment
Bachelor’s/Master degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Softskills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills in French and in English, with the ability to work across departments and geographies.

Ability to balance strategic planning with operational execution.
