As the Director of Operations, you’ll own and lead all U.S. operations at Neoplants and help build our foundation for scaling our business to support E-Commerce, Retail and B2B sales channels. This includes but is not limited to setting up and managing our fulfillment, supply chain, procurement and product operations.
This role will require a seasoned operations leader who is able to find the balance between setting high level strategy and managing day to day operations. You will report directly to the Chief Business Officer based out of the US and collaborate closely with our marketing & research team’s based out of Paris. Expect to start most days working with the Paris team by 8 AM MST.
This role requires a high-energy leader who thrives on balancing strategic vision with tactical execution, seamlessly moving from big-picture planning to hands-on problem-solving. Starting as an individual contributor, you’ll have the opportunity to build a team as our operational needs increase.
Must be able to travel internationally to Asia and Paris to meet with the marketing and research teams and potential supply partners.
Main mission (but not limited to):
Lead all US operations across fulfillment, supply chain, procurement and product operations to build the backbone for our multi-million dollar omnichannel business
Manage and strengthen strategic relationships with key vendors such as 3PLs, suppliers and manufacturers to ensure smooth operations with minimal disruption to our customers
Design and implement a scalable process for managing and making key decisions across our full supply chain and inventory management
Collaborate with sales, marketing and finance teams to minimize costs and ensure a world class customer experience
Implement SKU system for new products that pair with 3PLs and future retail expansion
Oversee, lead and optimize our costs across the entire supply chain which includes; custom design packaging, shipping materials, injected molded hardware and key accessories
Negotiate and manage relationships with key vendors and third-party logistics providers, driving cost savings and performance improvements
Build strong operational reporting infrastructure to communicate costs and overall performance to the executive team
Required:
Experience: 7-10 years in operations leadership roles with experience at high growth startups
Communication: Excellent communicator that is able to synthesize complex data into digestible material for the executive team and x-functional stakeholders
Expertise: Strong background in fulfillment, supply chain, logistics, and vendor management, with a track record of building scalable systems.
Skills: Analytical and process-oriented thinker with the ability to switch effortlessly between strategic planning and hands-on execution
