Job description

We are looking for an experienced Finance Specialist for our Finance team in Prague. If you are ready to join us in our path and to live our values, we are looking forward to meeting you.

Your responsibilities

As a Senior Finance Specialist, you will be cooperating with Region EU Finance Director, Accountants / Controllers in the finance team based in Prague and Basel, along with other internal stakeholders. Your primary responsibility will be to help us ensuring the high-quality execution and delivery of accounting tasks relating to our European affiliates.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Participate in regular (monthly, quarterly and yearly) closure activities, supporting the accounting team in meeting the expected deadlines
  • Review and follow up of monthly account reconciliations performed by Accountants
  • Review of closure-related deliverables performed by Accountants before its submission to the Group
  • Collaborate with Accountants and the Finance Director to provide explanations for posted transactions, resolve differences arising from intercompany reconciliations and address related issues as needed
  • Offer Accountants consultations and assessments on accounting treatments to ensure compliance with local GAAP and Group reporting manual
  • Coach and share knowledge with Accountants regarding accounting treatments, Group accounting methodology and processes
  • Participate on the approval processes related to AP, payments and other financial operations
  • Prepare more complex postings and provide supporting calculations
  • Cooperate with external accountants on the preparation of monthly closures, annual financial statements, annual reports and tax returns
  • Collaborate with auditors
  • Streamline and enhance the efficiency of internal accounting processes
  • Report status of above mentioned tasks and related issues to Finance Director and cooperate on mitigation activities
  • Perform other adhoc tasks based on the instructions from Finance Director

Your qualifications and experience  

  • We are looking for a friendly colleague who loves teamwork, accounting and wants to deliver top-notch service to our stakeholders
  • You have past audit experience from one of the Big4 company (at least 3-4 years)
  • You have solid knowledge of accounting principles, with at least basic knowledge of IFRS standards
  • You have an experience with internal ERPs (preferably MS Dynamics 365, Finance Operations)
  • You are an experienced user of Excel (vlookup, pivot tables…)
  • You are fluent in English
  • You are able to understand the processes, draft the suggestions and communicate them clearly
  • You have an experience with knowledge sharing and coaching of other team members
  • You are a self-driven organized personality with high sense of responsibility
  • You are a pro-active detail oriented person with an analytical mindset
  • You work with a “hands on mentality”
  • You enjoy working in a multinational environment
