Why do we need a Lead tool Programmer?

Almost all the studio is now focusing on this AAA action-adventure combat game. We are seeking a Lead tool Programmer to lead the creation of tools for our development team.

Your future team

You’ll be part of a small team upon your arrival that will grow over time. You’ll report to Colin (Head of the Technical department), and support a project with more than 100 people (Gameplay Programmers, Designers, Artists, etc.).

Your future impact

As the Lead Tool Programmer, you will be at the core of a small but dedicated team, responsible for developing and supporting the development of our projects. Your role will encompass:

• Developing, integrating and iterating on new and existing systems and tools to support the needs of the production teams

• Programming in Python, C# and C++ and working with Unreal Engine

• Working closely with all teams to answer their needs in terms of tools and systems

• Providing guidance and support to the Tool team based on your experience on previous tool teams.

• Managing a small team of tool programmers and structuring it for an upcoming growth

1. First exchange (20 min) via video call with Arthur (Recruiter): To learn more about your experience, your interests, and to discuss the job and Novaquark

2. Technical/Manager interview (1 h) via video call with Colin (Head of the Technical department) and Mathieu (Senior Tool Developer): To evaluate your technical skills through several questions and meet your future manager, who will go into more detail about the position and context.

3. (Optional) Final Interview (30 to 45 min) via video call with Nouredine (CEO): If necessary, this last conversation will offer insights into Novaquark’s long-term vision by directly speaking with our CEO.
