The position

Job description

As a Senior Legal Counsel at OneStock, you will work with diverse stakeholders internally (Operational teams, IT, Management and Corporate Governance) and externally (clients, suppliers, judicial authorities, CNIL) and be principally responsible for:

· Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including SaaS agreements, SLA, Support Terms, Partnership agreements, and other commercial contracts.

· Provide legal expertise during the launch, development and marketing of new products.

· Manage intellectual property issues, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights.

· Develop and maintain terms and conditions, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant with relevant laws.

· Ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR) as a data processor for our clients.

· Provide expert legal advice on HR-related matters and support the HR team with employment law issues.

· Actively assist the sales team in negotiating the contracts with OneStock's clients and partners and suppliers.

· Conduct regular reviews and audits of contracts and compliance processes.

· Liaise with external legal counsel as necessary.

· Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company.

· Provide training and guidance to internal teams on legal and compliance matters.

· Contribute to the drafting and updating of internal policies and procedures related to the legal team and personal data requested by the internal control team

· Carry out the legal watch (veille juridique)

· Participate in the management and investigation of litigation and mediation files.

· Interact with judicial authorities and handle their requests related to ongoing disputes.

·  Being the Data Processing Officer of OneStock and manage the obligations related to personal data (i.e. update the register of processing, manage complaints, update the procedure and processing sheets, conduct impact analysis)

This position is based in Paris or in Toulouse


Preferred experience

You already have significant previous experience in legal, compliance and GDPR operations in a SaaS fast-growing company, you are a high-achiever and, in an ideal world:

· You are familiar with SaaS contract drafting and negotiation as well as civil and commercial and HR laws. Mastering the GDPR and IP regulations, anti-money laundering, personal data protection, and the fight against corruption regulations are the big plus;

· Education: you hold a Master degree in a relevant study domain;

· Experience: > 8 years of relevant experiences or a similar, ideally with a confirmed experience from SaaS industry

· Language: you're fluent in French and in English

· Pragmatic and business driven: you know how to reconcile regulations with the business

· Meticulous and Structured: You approach your work with a methodical and organized mindset, ensuring that every detail is addressed, and no question is left unanswered.

· Committed: You uphold the highest standards in your work, consistently delivering quality results.

· Open and Empathetic: You are a good listener who is easy to communicate with, fostering an open and friendly atmosphere while showing genuine empathy towards your colleagues.
