Job description

Who You Will Work With: Kenneth, Antoine, Anton
Location: Paris, France (Hybrid - 2 to 3 days per week at the office)

Ready to shape a brand that helps people focus, unlock their potential, and reclaim their time?

At Opal, we build tools that cut through the noise and empower people to be more intentional with their time. We’re looking for a Brand Designer to join us on this journey—someone who’s eager to bring creativity and strategy together in ways that help build a brand that’s not just cool, but impactful.

You’ll be Opal’s first Brand Designer. That means you’ll have the freedom and responsibility to define how we show up in the world. From developing a consistent visual identity to designing experiences across digital and physical channels, you’ll be the one who helps our message land with our Gems (our community) in the most powerful way possible.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Create the Playbook: You’ll formalize Opal’s brand identity, making sure everything from our website to marketing materials feels like one cohesive voice. This is your chance to lay the foundation of who Opal is and how we show up.

  2. Design Across Digital & Physical: Whether it’s creating social media graphics, webpages, print assets, or even designs for events, you’ll make sure Opal’s brand is everywhere, and it all looks, feels, and sounds right.

  3. Collaborate with Growth: You’ll team up with Product and Growth teams to experiment creatively, designing brand-driven initiatives that drive user engagement and push Opal’s growth forward.

  4. Tell Stories: From video content to animations, your work will help us tell the Opal story in dynamic, engaging ways that bring our values to life.

  5. Support the Team: From social posts to internal decks to the occasional product design support, you’ll be involved in all aspects of Opal’s brand across all touchpoints.

Who You Are

  • Storyteller at Heart: You live and breathe design, and you know how to tell a story through visuals. Whether it’s an Instagram post, a website, or a printed brochure, your designs connect, resonate, and engage.

  • 3+ Years in Brand Design: You've got at least 3 years of experience working in brand design, ideally in a B2C environment. You’re no stranger to shaping and evolving a brand from scratch, and you’ve got the skills to back it up.

  • Creative & Agile: You know how to create something beautiful and meaningful. But you also know how to adapt and push the envelope. Whether you're working on a campaign or a product launch, you’re flexible in your approach and can think outside the box.

  • Digital & Print Pro: You’re as comfortable designing for a website as you are for a printed flyer or event swag. Your design language translates seamlessly across mediums.

  • High Agency, Low Ego: You take ownership of your work and run with it. You're proactive and detail-oriented, yet always collaborative—always open to feedback and ready to iterate on your designs.

  • Tech-Savvy & Impact-Driven: You’re not just designing for aesthetics. You’re designing for impact, for a purpose. You care about Opal’s mission, and you want to see it succeed.

  • Tools You Know: You’ve got a command of tools like Adobe Suite, Figma, and any motion design tools you think will make your ideas shine.

Why Opal?

  • Make an Impact: Your designs will shape how people experience Opal, helping them reclaim their time and focus. Every project you take on will empower people to live with more intention and less distraction.

  • Be Part of Something Big: As our first Brand Designer, you'll be integral in shaping Opal’s identity. Your work will have a direct impact on how we evolve as a brand—and how our Gems experience us.

  • Relocation Support: If you're moving to Paris, we’ve got you covered.

  • Work with the Best: You’ll collaborate closely with our marketing, product, and growth teams—people who are as passionate about impact and creativity as you are.

  • Perks:

    • Health: Comprehensive coverage with Alan.

    • Lunch: A Swile card to cover your meals.

    • Remote Work: 2 to 3 days per week and we provide a budget for remote work equipment.

    • Team Connection: Four offsites a year to meet up, brainstorm, and enjoy quality time together.

If you're looking to join a purpose-driven team, design a brand that stands out, and help shape the future of focus, we want to meet you. Let’s build something remarkable, together.
