🔎Context of the role:
As a Machine Learning Engineer at OpenAirlines, you will play a role in our mission to revolutionize the aviation industry.
Integrated into the data science team, you will conduct the production deployment of data science-based features and lead the evolution of our data science platform to accelerate our developments with the data scientists.
Programming Languages: Python, SQL, (Java is a plus).
Data Science Tools: Pandas, polars, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, …
Infrastructure: Git, Docker, Google Cloud Platform, mlflow, kedro.
🏋️♂️Activities & Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the science et engineering team to translate business needs into innovative new functionalities in our SkyBreathe® softwares.
Design, put in production, and monitor new algorithms to better track the application of fuel savings initiatives.
Examples of projects you might be able to work on:
Find new ways for airlines to save fuel by defining, and modeling fuel best practices for pilots
Simulate the perfect flight reproducing flight dynamics with Machine Learning applied to time series
Smart insights helping our customers to dynamically identify improvements in their operations.

Hold a Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field (Data Science, Statistics, Software engineering, …)
At least 3 years of experience in designing and building ML models on a cloud provider
Excellent analytical abilities, deep statistical and modeling knowledge, and strong communication skills.
High proficiency in Python, data science frameworks, and machine learning pipelines.
Experience in flight operations and aeronautics.
Fluent in English and French.
