As Chief Financial Officer, you will report directly to the CEO and the Managing Director. 

You will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing all finance teams and functions to ensure operational and financial efficiency.
  • Developing and managing the company’s financial planning (budgeting, forecasting) in line with overall business goals.
  • Ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in financial reporting and internal controls.
  • Providing financial insights and support for strategic decision-making to drive sustainable growth.

    Candidates with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a strategy consulting firm may be given responsibility for overseeing the strategy team. The specific roles and responsibilities will be defined during the interview process, based on the candidate's qualifications and profile.

    Your key responsibilities include:

    • Budget and financial planning:
      • Independently manage the bottom-line budgeting, including cost modeling.
      • Collaborate with the data team to build the top-line model, integrated with accounting, management control, and reporting.
      • Establish seamless integration between accounting and budget reporting for accurate, real-time tracking and reporting.
      • Oversee team budget allocations, cash flow reporting, and forecasting.
    • External financial reporting:
      • Prepare and deliver comprehensive board meeting reports.
      • Provide periodic reporting to key stakeholders, including updates to funds, banks, and partners.
      • Lead banks and fund relationships related to debt (new debt negotiation, reporting, etc.)
    • Accounting:
      • Develop and optimize team structures and processes.
      • Implement tools and streamline processes for efficient accounting management.
      • Maintain a close partnership with the tech/product team to ensure streamlined client accounting imports.
      • Maintain a close partnership with HR for payroll and IT for capex and inventory tracking.
      • Ensure consolidated accounting processes
    • Invoicing and payments:
      • Oversee B2B and B2C invoicing and debiting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
      • Establish and manage robust provider payment processes, from order validation through payment.
    • Legal and Tax compliance:
      • Manage intra-group conventions.
      • Manage tax filings and payments, including VAT and entity-level obligations.
      • Ensure compliance across regions
    • Internal controls:
      • Design and maintain bulletproof financial processes within the finance team.
      • Conduct regular audits of internal processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams for optimal results.
    • Cross-functional collaboration:
      • Actively participate in project and growth initiatives, providing finance-related insights and support to help achieve broader company goals.
      • Work proactively with other departments to set financial guidelines and contribute to growth and scalability.


    The ideal candidate has:

    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to dive deep into complex financial analyses and make sound recommendations.
    • Strong skills in financial modeling and forecasting, with the capacity to see the broader picture and communicate financial insights effectively to stakeholders.
    • Leadership experience, including a strong track record of building and leading high-performing finance teams.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting to boards and executive leadership.
    • A proactive, results-oriented mindset with an ability to think creatively and act decisively to meet financial goals.
    • Fluency in English is required.

    Requirements

    • Degree from a top business or engineering school or a degree in accounting, preferably with a strong background in financial planning and analysis.
    • 10+ years of experience, of which 5+ in a senior finance role with an international scope.
    • 5+ years of experience in a top consulting firm is a plus.
    • Experience in managing budgets, cash flow, and regulatory compliance.
    • Knowledge of internal control frameworks and experience in implementing rigorous financial controls.
    • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally, with experience in scaling processes and leading finance initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
