The role:

We are searching for a Linux system administrator with over 4 years’ experience in production environment to join our 8-strong infra team.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented system administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our production processes, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining high standards of quality. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You should be ready to not only doing the daily operations but also be proactive to suggest and improve the global production processes, scripts, automation and infrastructure. You will be responsible, along with your team, for maintaining the production areas of a PCI-DSS certified company. Offices are located in Lyon (Part-Dieu) and Barcelona. according to profile full remote possible but we have a preference for an hybrid mode.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage production deployment to ensure timely delivery of products.

• Monitor and evolve production tools and processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and company policies.

• Participate in the PCI-DSS audit every year, in partnership with the auditor

• Ensure the maintenance in operational conditions of the infrastructure

• Help engineering team to design the production tools to private cloud based on a Kubernetes on-premise cluster

• Ensure 24/7 on-duty availability to meet PCI-DSS requirements and proper functioning of PayXpert Services

• Demonstrate an awareness of or interest in cybersecurity, particularly security principles and architecture. We are and need to stay PCI-DSS compliant, which is a high-standard cybersecurity regulations applying to Payment Card Industry. Implement and enforce health and safety regulations within the production area

• Collaborate with various departments (dev, quality control, system engineer) to optimize production workflow.

• Identify and resolve issues related to production delays, infrastructure malfunctions, and incident. - Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Education:

• Associate degree in IT sector

• Training in different technologies

Technical Job Experience required:

• Advanced Level of Linux (Debian) : 3 years of experience

• Intermediate Network knowledge (TCP/IP, Firewalls, VPNs, Load Balancing)

• Intermediate Web Services knowledge (Web server, reverse proxy)

• Intermediate level of, at least, one scripting language (bash, python)

• Experience with relational databases (MariaDB, PostgreSQL)

• Knowledge or Experience with virtualization is a plus

• Knowledge or Experience with containers is a plus

• Knowledge or Experience with CI/CD is a plus
