We are looking for a Social Media Manager to join our Global Consumer Journey CoE ! You will be based at The Island, our office in central Paris.
Enhancing the performance of consumer connections is at the core of our Global Consumer Journey roadmap and broader Marketing Transformation; therefore it is business-critical that the Group aims to be best-in-class in its approach in reaching and recruiting relevant audiences through media, playing an ever-increasing role in connecting our brands (Absolut, Jameson, Chivas Regal, The Glenlivet, Havana Club, Perrier-Jouet, Beefeater, Altos and more than 200 others in our extensive global portfolio) directly with our consumers and shoppers.
Your key missions:
Reporting to the global Head of Media and Precision Marketing, you will lead our social media strategic approach and roadmap across the Group, with the goal to ensure our architecture is designed in a transparent and effective way, to support the strategy and optimized execution of our local marketing teams by collaborating with key social media platforms and other partners in order to provide maximum benefits and thought leadership across the globe.
1. GROUP SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGIC ROADMAP DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION
You will co-shape the Group social media strategy identifying key areas to drive performance & impact and key opportunities/trends to capture to future-proof the business
You will collaborate with partner social media platforms to leverage their ecosystem and data and be able to share the best practice on reaching relevant audiences and generating actionable insights to drive higher reach, engagement and conversion
You will work closely with cross-functional teams (Marketing Performance, Responsible Marketing…) to enhance Group expertise on social media execution across platforms and serve as the Group subject matter expert on social media in support of all market/brand affiliates
2. ORGANIC AND PAID ARCHITECTURE AND SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT
You will articulate and continuously refine our organic and pay-to-play approach on social, including a clear, transparent and data-compliant organic/paid account architecture and taxonomy, as well as framework/guidelines on ways of working between global brands and local market teams
You will monitor and audit our owned and paid performance to optimize and rationalize our page/account structure across social platforms
You will ensure implementation of account taxonomy between Pernod Ricard teams and partner agencies
You will provide operational enablement and support to PR media teams where needed
3. GLOBAL RELATIONSHIPS AND JOINT BUSINESS PARTNERSHIPS MANAGEMENT
You will manage platform relationship, JBP negotiations and implementation, learning agenda, QBRs, benefits utilization and impact assessment
You will manage and develop strong global relationships with social media platforms
You will facilitate the development and negotiation of joint business partnerships (JBPs) with key partner social media platforms, including articulation of hard/soft benefits, learning agenda and operational model to increase ROI of our media investment and activity
You will oversee the overall JBP implementation, including benefits utilization and learning agenda implementation, in close collaboration with our global client partner and PR teams
You will explore new partnership opportunities assessing platform-readiness, audience relevance and projected Pernod Ricard activity
4. PERFORMANCE OPTIMIZATION AND THOUGHT LEADERSHIP
You will measure our social media performance in terms of reach, engagement and conversion as well as brand equity (through brand lift studies and in partnership with our Consumer Insights brand equity team) to increase impact on business
You will test, learn and optimize our social media execution standards to optimize our performance, and work closely with our Marketing Performance team to bridge social media execution to ROI optimization leveraging our internal MMM program
You will support and work with the Consumer Experience (CX) Hub in the design & execution of use cases and experimentation pilots with selected affiliates, collaborating with them to scale up the learnings more widely
You will provide thought leadership and animate the community on key problematics, opportunities and trends, including testing new social platforms, addressing the influencer/creator economy etc.
You will upskill the media/digital and broader marketing community through topical trainings and during key regular forums

You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in marketing management, online media, digital marketing or related relevant field
You have 4-5 years of hands-on relevant experience in social media at an internationally operating media agency or advertiser (client-side)
You have solid understanding of international media landscape, including global and local/regional social media platforms/networks
You have a direct first-hand operational experience and know-how in social media buying (paid) and activation (owned/earned)
You have strong project leadership and influential skills, with ability to engage both operational teams & functional leadership teams at global/local levels
You have the capacity to work cross-functionally and ability to navigate across affiliates with specificities and the agility to work with multicultural teams with various business & digital maturity levels
You have solid communication skills, with the ability and credibility to tailor communication and drive change whether to operational teams or heads of function
You have a natural passion for understanding consumer media consumption habits and latest trends, with a bias for customer/consumer-oriented solutions and tangible results
Professional fluency (both written and spoken) in English. French language is a plus.
