The position

Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Handle employee inquiries, ensuring resolution and follow-up via the ticketing system.
  • Address payroll-related queries from HR, outsourced providers, and third parties.
  • Collaborate with third-party payroll providers and internal stakeholders to manage and support the monthly payroll process for Pure Storage employees.
  • Validate data from HR systems and external payroll providers.
  • Complete payroll processing within established deadlines, ensuring final approval by the Payroll Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll controls, corporate policies, and statutory regulations.
  • Support the coordination and development of payroll services.
  • Contribute to internal projects and initiatives.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and performance.
  • Assist with year-end payroll requests from providers and internal teams.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience managing payroll processes, both in-house and through vendors.
  • Strong understanding of payroll accounting principles.
  • Hands-on experience with multi-country payroll, ideally using a global payroll provider.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and analytical with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a team-oriented mindset.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Familiarity with HR systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle HCM) is a plus.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in an additional European language is a plus.

Target Profile:

  • 3+ years of relevant payroll experience.
  • Experience with ADP or similar payroll systems is beneficial.
  • Experience handling payroll for at least two complex countries (e.g., Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Austria, India).
  • End-to-end payroll process experience, including payroll calculation, payments, and accounting.
  • Experience with payroll implementation or transition is a plus.
  • Strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and a results-driven approach.
  • Willingness to acknowledge mistakes and learn from them.
  • Proven ability to enhance and optimize payroll processes.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for continuous improvement and adaptability to change.
