Job description

Finance Business Partner (OPEX)


Reporting directly to the Director of FP&A, you will be the key point of contact within the Finance team for the UKI region for OPEX-related topics across several legal entities and business units. You will act as a trusted adviser, providing proactive insights to the business to support decision-making and achieve business strategy.

This is a hybrid role (2 days/week in Stratford, London office and 3 days working from home).

Your role in our future

  • Lead business partnering for operating expenditure across several business units, including MRS, ICA, PLS, and Central Functions.

  • Drive business performance by identifying risks and opportunities, maintaining close control over expenditure, and supporting operational activities with analytical reasoning and recommendations.

  • Lead the budget and forecast process in close collaboration with finance colleagues and budget holders.

  • Participation in month-end close activities with the management accounting team, developing & directing variance analysis models to provide commentary and actionable insights to the business.

  • Control OPEX allocation between different business units and within the region, overseeing recharges in and out of the region in collaboration with the FP&A and Management Accounts team.

  • Lead ad hoc projects and analysis as required.

Your profile:

  • Qualified accountant (CPA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with experience in a similar role in industry.

  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and Excel.

  • Experience in Hyperion Reporting, SAP, and Exact is a plus.

  • Highly motivated team player with drive, proactivity, and independence, balanced with the ability to be a supportive team player.

  • Demonstrable experience within a finance team in a multi-entity and complex organization.

  • Experience in accounting, forecasting & budgeting, performance monitoring, and reporting.

  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, able to build trust and rapport quickly with key stakeholders at all levels.

  • Results-focused with attention to detail and the ability to comply with strict deadlines.

  • Experience working with teams across multiple locations.
