Job Summary
The Engineering Project Assistant (EPA) is responsible for the planning, scheduling, and assisting engineers with administrative, documentation, process and general engineering related support activities. The EPA must demonstrate the ability to assist multiple engineers, providing a wide range of administrative and computer skills to support engineering projects. Typical assignments include word processing, data entry and preliminary document preparation utilizing computing resources, change management process, requirements capture, metrics, etc. The EPA performs project non-technical duties and acts as a process and tool expert for engineering design teams.
The EPA must possess strong organization and analytical skills, as well as the ability to coordinate and lead activities.
Essential Job Functions
Provide general project support including scheduling meetings, handling quick turn requests, monitoring upcoming needs and proactively preparing for future deadlines.
Prepare and draft documents, coordinate reviews, and ensure timely submission of deliverables.
Collect metrics, compile and analyze data to generate reports, statistics, and presentations as needed.
Identify opportunities for process improvement within project functions and assist in implementing solutions.
Collaborate with other EPAs and team members to provide seamless support across functions as needed.
Work with cross-functional teams to edit/format documentation. Provide support to the change control and peer review process. Provide tools expertise and support to Engineering: MS Office Apps, requirements capture databases, change management and tracking tools. Generate reports as required.
Network with key contacts outside own area of expertise. May serve as a liaison between engineering teams and management.
Build productive working relationships internally and externally on occasion. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data requiring some explanation or interpretation.
Work on moderately difficult assignments, which are given in terms of objectives to be accomplished, and priorities to be followed. Requires judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.
Complete assignments and tasks independently. Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment and overalladequacy and accuracy.

Education/Experience
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience as a Project Assistant is a plus
Engineering Project Assistant II: 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Engineering Project Assistant III: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Proactive, highly motivated and adaptable, with excellent organizational skills including the ability to juggle multiple tasks, changing needs, and competing priorities with ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Must have the ability to coordinate several projects and complex engineering support activities while balancing priorities and schedules.
Intermediate to high level expertise with MS Office Suite
Strong proofreading and document preparation skills
Experience in ALM Jira, ALM Confluence, DOORS, SAP, and Subversion desired
