Main responsibilities
The Global DE&I Lead drives the global strategy for fostering an inclusive culture, a sense of belonging, and a thriving volunteering agenda. In this role, you will partner with senior leaders and the People & Culture function to create an engaging, inclusive workplace for our 11,000+ employees—aligning with Opella’s mission and organizational goals.
Inclusion & Belonging Strategy & Advocacy:
Develop and execute global strategy to embed inclusion and belonging, into every aspect of our culture in collaboration with experts in related areas (e.g. Talent Acquisition, Talent, etc.)
Partner with our Senior Leaders to role-model inclusive practices and allyship, driving visible sponsorship across the organization.
Engage with our internal influencer network to amplify inclusion & belonging impact in globally, while exchanging best practices across locations.
Sponsor the creation of global employee resource groups (ERGs), providing guidance, support, and recognition to drive meaningful and large-scale impact.
Deliver training and resources to equip employees and leaders with the tools to foster allyship, inclusivity, and cultural awareness.
Build strategic partnerships with external organizations and industry groups to share best practices and position Opella as a leader in DE&I.
Global Volunteering Strategy
Develop and scale Opella’s Global Volunteering Program, managing partnerships and initiatives that inspire employees to give back.
Coordinate year-round volunteering actions aligned with our social responsibility goals.
Performance Metrics and Analysis:
Define and track metrics, awards & certification strategy to measure the effectiveness of inclusion & belonging and volunteering initiatives.
Use data-driven insights to refine strategies, celebrate successes, and address improvement areas.
Ensure a continuous cycle of enhancement and innovation in our approach to inclusion & belonging and volunteering initiatives.
What you bring
Proven experience in HR or a related function, in global scope.
Strategic thinker with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive organizational change.
Passionate about DE&I, with experience leading inclusive engagement strategies and fostering global employee networks.
Exceptional communication, project management, and analytical skills.
Adaptable to fast-paced environments and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
Collaborative and capable of working across geographies, cultures, and functions.
A change-maker who thrives on driving innovation and being disruptive when needed.
Resilient and embracing challenges—viewing challenges as opportunities to learn and grow.
Committed to continuous learning and professional development in DE&I and social impact.
Proficiency in English (fluency); additional languages are a plus.
