Under the authority of the Chief Accounting Officer & Head of GBS, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional to join our team as the Head of Sustainability Reporting (about 3 HC).
You will be part of the Finance Global Business Service Team and will work closely with the Global Sustainability team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• CSRD Compliance and Monitoring:
Coordinate the production of Sustainability reporting & disclosures, ensuring their compliance with relevant standards and regulations (ESRS, EU Taxonomy, and others that will arise in the future)
• Lead the preparation of sustainability disclosures in accordance with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), ensuring all mandatory reporting requirements are met.
• Oversee data collection and ensure accurate measurement of ESRS metrics related to material Impacts, Risks and Opportunities.
• Develop and maintain a reporting calendar to ensure all deadlines for regulatory filings, stakeholder requests, and internal reports are met.
• Implement processes and procedures to ensure consistency, relevance and reliability of information and contribute to identifying mitigation plans when needed
• Work closely with Internal Control Sustainability Lead to implement internal control process
• Work closely with the Sustainable Financial Impact & Performance Lead to integrate sustainability performance into the company’s broader financial and risk management reports.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
• Partner with Chief Sustainability Officer and her Leadership team to enforce sustainability governance and reporting.
• Co-animate the Sustainability network (CLT representatives) to monitor reporting and performance
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure the integration of sustainability data into corporate reporting and decision-making processes (Manufacturing & Supply, Growth, People & Culture, Science, Digital, Procurement, Legal, …).
• Work with “Investor relation department” to engage with investors, rating agencies, regulatory bodies, and NGOs, providing updates on ESG performance and sustainability initiatives.
• Maintain relationships with sustainability reporting bodies and stay informed on best practices and regulatory changes, particularly related to CSRD.
• Act as Focal point for governance, and for reporting to Opella Board and specific Committees
• Continuously monitor CSRD developments, adapting internal reporting practices as new guidance is issued.
• Audit
• Act as the primary liaison with the Audit Committee or CLT providing clear and concise financial updates.
• Prepare and present Sustainability reports and findings to the CLT and Sustainability SteerCo, addressing any concerns or queries.
• Foster a collaborative relationship with committee members to ensure effective oversight.
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process.
• Provide necessary documentation and explanations for audit inquiries.
• Compliance and Standards:
• Stay current with global sustainability standards and regulations, with a focus on CSRD and EU Taxonomy developments.
• Ensure compliance with international standards such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, and others, integrating these frameworks with CSRD requirements.
• Recommend and implement necessary changes in reporting practices to meet both regulatory obligations and emerging global sustainability trends.
• Data management and automation:
• Conduct the Transformation Chapter related to CSRD and Work with Digital team to improve the collection, validation, and verification of sustainability data, through automation
• Organize and drive CoE resources in Hyberabad
• Identify and automate data collection and control with existing tools such as PowerBI, TM1, Snowflake, etc.
• Ensure CSRD Reporting solutions and CoE services meet Functions requirements

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
• Masters or Bachelor degree in Accounting, Sustainable Finance or Economics
• Motivated professional with a strong background in financial or sustainability reporting
• Experience with interpretation of EU regulatory developments
• Ability to work transversally and interact with Senior Management
• Excellent communication skills
• Collaborative, highly proactive and assertive attitude
• Able to multi-task with proven follow-through and adherence to changing priorities
• Able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment, with strong influencing skills.
