About the Role

We are looking for a Functional Quality Engineer to join our Operations (SaaS Ops ) team, focusing on the Payments domain. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful maintenance and continuous improvement of our SaaS payment products, working closely with internal stakeholders to assess and implement product updates while ensuring a seamless experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse product releases: Review and interpret new releases to assess their impact on client solution and operations.
  • Configuration & Testing: Configure new product versions and execute functional and non-regression tests to ensure quality and compliance with standards and validate system integrity.
  • Industrialization & Test Automation: Participate in industrialization efforts by contributing to automated test development and improving testing frameworks. Assist in the execution and analysis of automated test reports, ensuring continuous validation of system behaviour.
  • Support Non-Functional Testing: Collaborate on non-functional testing, such as performance and resilience testing, to ensure system reliability under various conditions.
  • Client-focused delivery: Work closely with internal teams to ensure new features and fixes are implemented smoothly with minimal disruption.
  • Collaboration with AM SRE team: Coordinate with Application Management Site Reliability Engineers (AM SREs), focused on packaging and deploying configured product versions for dedicated clients.
  • Documentation & Process Improvement: Maintain up-to-date documentation on configurations, testing, and best practices to streamline operations.
  • Incident & Problem Management: Support the resolution of functional issues reported by clients during testing phases and participate in continuous service improvement initiatives.

Preferred experience

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in the Payments domain, particularly in SEPA and Instant Payments (knowledge of payment processing and financial messaging protocols).
  • Experience in functional analysis, impact assessment, and configuration management.
  • Hands-on experience in testing methodologies and quality assurance processes.
  • Experience in test automation and industrialization of testing processes is a plus.
  • Experience with performance and resilience testing is a plus.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaboration skills to work efficiently with internal teams.
  • Experience working in a SaaS/DevOps environment is a plus.
  • Fluent in English.
