We seek an experienced Senior Orchestration Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining infrastructures focusing on virtualization engines. You will be crucial in managing our Platform architecture with a reliable and cost-effective approach to host our Brevo Platform products into this new architecture on top of our baremetal hosting provider (OVH).

As a Senior Orchestration Platform Engineer specialized into virtualization engines, you will:

  • Architect, build and maintain scalable and efficient virtualization platform such as KubeVirt, Harvester, KVM
  • Architect, build and maintain the orchestration stack for virtualization provisioning, failure autoremediation and capacity planning through Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Jenkins
  • Monitor and optimize the performance to ensure high availability and reliability using Fluentd, Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Contribute to the mentorship, the internal product roadmap definition, the backlog refinement, architecture and implementation review inside the Orchestration team.
  • Manage and maintain capacity planning for the production grade virtualization product
  • Work as a cornerstone between other Platform teams and other divisions to understand virtualization requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Implement automation for deployment pipelines to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Diagnose and resolve orchestration issues, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of architecture, processes, and procedures.
  • What will contribute to your success:

  • Installation, setup & configuration of high availability, secure, and resilient hosting facilities in production environments 24/7.
  • Strong experience in open-sourced Virtualization products (installation, configuration, performance tuning, and monitoring)
  • Strong experience with linux environments on baremetal machines like OVH offers
  • Strong experience in  network backbone fine tuning and operations (IPAM, BGP, NAT, …)t
  • Strong experience using local and distributed storage for virtualization engine (storage pool and storage volume paradigms such as with ZFS, Longhorn or CephFS)
  • Previous experience in large scaled infrastructures including > 1000 VMs & > 10000 containers
  • Proficient with CI/CD pipelines for Platform products
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Cloud native orchestration platforms like Containers and Kubernetes 
  • Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar for automation tasks
  • Experience in hybrid, on-premise and/or cloud-based architectures and services
  • Experience in building a Platform as an internal Product
  • Experience with workload orchestration such as ArgoCD or Flux is a plus
