To achieve our mission we engage our farmers within our regenerative agriculture programme where they get rewarded for their climate improvements. We partner with local agricultural players to develop low carbon and resilient value chains. We help our corporate partners, primarily in the food and ag sector, transition their farmer suppliers to regenerative agriculture, thereby helping them improve their Scope 3 emissions while contributing positively to the environment and society.

Our sales team is composed of 3 streams: farmers, partners, and corporates. As a Lead Business Developer at Soil Capital, you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth and expanding our footprint in the sustainable agriculture sector. Your primary responsibility will be to build and maintain strong relationships with large corporate clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailor-made solutions that exceed their expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and secure new business opportunities with large corporate clients, focusing on long-term partnerships.
Manage and grow existing key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and engagement.
Work closely with our technical team to develop and present customised solutions that address specific client needs in sustainable agriculture.
Negotiate contracts and close deals that contribute significantly to our overall growth and success.
Stay abreast of industry trends and market dynamics to inform strategic decision-making and offer value-added services to our clients.
Qualifications:
Experience: You have a proven track record of managing and growing key accounts, with significant experience in closing large corporate deals.
Technical Expertise: You possess a solid technical background, with a deep understanding of sustainable agriculture, environmental science, or a related field. Understanding of carbon standards, regulatory drivers of sustainability, and of the food and ag sector and supply chain dynamics with a focus on Europe are needed.
Strategic Thinker: You are strategic in your approach, with the ability to identify opportunities and tailor solutions to meet the complex needs of large clients.
Communication Skills: You have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders at all levels. Fluent in French & English.
Drive: You are highly motivated and eager to contribute to our mission, with a passion for sustainability and making a positive impact in the agriculture sector.
Network within the food and ag sector is a plus.
